Don't You Ever Forget About Me Lyrics

The hardest thing I'd ever do
Is say goodbye and walk slowly away from you
But I'll do it
And after all this time I shared with you
It seems unfair to leave with nothing more than blank stares
But I'll do it
If it's for the best then...

The song is about an amazing relationship ending, both people in the relationship probably still loved each other but they had to separate for strict reasons.

I think that this song is about a relationship that ended well (unlike most break ups which usually end bad). The guy is basically saying that, even though they're both moving on, he doesn't want her to forget about him or the happy memories they shared together. And he wishes that, if possible, they could get back together.

This song is basically about a relationship gone wrong, but it ended on a good note. He's saying don't forget about him and all the memories they've had together.
