Three Days Grace - I Am Machine Meaning
I Am Machine Lyrics
All the pain and suffering
There's beauty in the bleeding
At least you feel something
I wish I knew what it was like
To care enough to carry on
I wish I knew what it was like
To find a place where I belong, but
I...

To me it's about artificial intelligence that wants to know human emotion and felling.

This song is clearly written from the point of view of Data. From Star Trek the Next Generation.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Well I agree will all of the above but I think its about a man or women that used to be able to feel the best of life but after being kicked down and seeing humanities flaws and lies he lost all sympathy and amotion.

I am a veteran but have not had as much the experience that many of my fellow veterans have had in regards to close combat. My closest friend is a u.s. Army ranger who has served many tours in the middle east. That being said I have seen through the years that he has lost many of his human emotions. To me this song reminds me of what our military does in changing young men to specially trained human killing machines. That being said I am proud of all of our military, but can personally relate to the feeling of being molded and losing some of my humanity while I was serving and protecting my nation.

This song really speaks to me as a man with sociopathic tendencies. I also work graveyard shift and I feel unhuman at times.

I think it is a bout him being an outcast and wants to join in with the others. Hence the *i see beauty in the bleeding* because he feels looney and wants to join in. That's my thought.
