Three Days Grace: On My Own Meaning
On My Own Lyrics
Think of home
Memories of long ago
No one knows I lost my soul long ago
Lied too much
She said that she's had enough
Am I too much
She said that she's had enough
Standing on my own
Remembering the one I left at...

I won't tell what I think the song meant o everyone, but this song means a lot to me. 5 days ago, a relationship of mine over almost 8 years, was screwed over lies. I am now literally on my own.
I lied to much, she said that she's had enough.
I don't know, but this song, the lyrics it descibres everything that has happend in my life the last 5 days.
For the song itself I feel the meaning is that he probably miss someone, that he lost somewhere down the line. Someone he really thought he would be with for the rest of his life. Now he is looking back, can't do anything about it but regret. Everything he had is now gone. -
I really like the beat to this song! It's really catchy. :P Anyway, I believe that it is about someone who leaves bc he was being treated badly. He forgets his past and lives in the present even though it's still hard for him at the end of the day.

I don´t usually do interpretations myself, but I feel this song deserves atleast one and so I wrote one since it was so empty here!
In the beginning you can see he misses the life he used to have. Then as you can see there was a breakup or a fight with a woman causing him to leave his earlier life. He tells himself he can forget about the life he used to know and the woman he left. (She made it clear that she had enough of him/don´t want him back.) He can´t go back to the place he once called home, because she really hates him(?)("Like she told me I'm just a big disgrace")
Then he sings "Lied too much,
I think that I've had enough", indicating that this made him tired of himself in the end, not just her. Then in the end he sings "Forget about the past I'll never know". Maybe he tells himself he can forget about how his life after that time could have been (had the relationship been better).
