Operate Lyrics

"Operate"

I know how you’re operating
Only come around when you know that I need it
Cut out my heart and you leave me bleeding
But you’re the only one that brings out the demon

Like pills you make me righteous
Like I can rise above it...

This song could have two meanings. It could be about an abusive relationship with a boyfriend or girlfriend, and it could also be about drugs, or more specifically a drug dealer, which would go along with the lyrics, "Only come around when you know that I need it." This would make sense as Adam Gontier was addicted to Oxycontin and was forced to go into rehab for it. However the lyrics "Like pills," suggest that it is more likely about an abusive girlfriend/boyfriend.

in this song he is ment to be saying he knows what's going threw your mind as you(person) abuse him I qoute "I don't want to see you in my phone leave me alone" as in he doesn't want to be bothered.."only come around when you now that I need it" meaning (person) abuses him when he feels really good..
this song is mainly about being abused in a abusive relationship....with who ever...
