5 Seconds of Summer: Daylight Meaning
Daylight Lyrics
Know what you did to my heart doesn't feel right
Yeah, my head's been tripping all night
I need another point of view
I got a friend who's committed to sci-fi
He's read every comic, he's addicted to...

#1 top rated interpretation:His girlfriend has cheated on him and played around with his heart. His friend told him that this relationship is breaking his heart and making him numb. Daylight means the truth and he knows that they r both running away from it because he knows it will end the relationship. He still has feelings for her but cant ignore the fact that she cheated and she is not willing to make amends. They both refuse to face the obstacle in their relationship and r hiding from the daylight which is the truth that their relationship is crumbling

#2 top rated interpretation:Its about a guy who is confused about a girl, he goes to his friend who is considered a nerd and kinda into sci-fi but he still knows how to give advice.
Basically the advice he gave his friend was that she likes to play with the guy, she likes to play mind games to keep him on his feet.
Him and the girl aren't an actual couple and they wont admit that they both have feelings towards each other because the girl is afraid of commitment, shes running from the daylight. The daylight being love.
"It's the road that leads to no where, but all I want to do is go there." He knows that if he follows the girl it will achieve nothing but he can't help but do it.
He is mesmerized by her. -
Ok for real listen to the song. It's about vampires. She sucks his blood, makes him run from the daylight with her and they even say that the daylight will turn them both to dust. Basically, he meets a girl and falls in love with her the girl then bites him and he becomes a vampire with her.
-
They're possibly describing bad breakups in their own way.
-
They said this song is about vampires. That's all I have to say.
