5 Seconds of Summer: She Looks So Perfect Meaning
Song Released: 2014
She Looks So Perfect Lyrics
Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey
Simmer down, simmer down
I say we're too young now to amount to anything else
But look around
We worked too damn hard for this just to give it up now
If you don't swim,
You'll drown
But don't...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is obviously about how beautiful an perfect this girl is but there is more to it in the beginning. They say "they say we're too young now to amount to anything else, but look around. We worked too damn hard just to give it up now." There they're saying young people are perceived as unable to be successful or proud at a young age, but clearly 5sos is huge already and they're only teenagers (except Ashton). "If you don't swim you'll drown, but don't move, honey." To me reads that when your young your expected to follow society and in the footsteps of others. If you don't, you'll fail, but they're saying stay independent and be creative. Also combined with him wanting her to stay there because she looks so perfect.

#2 top rated interpretation:It means that no matter what, a girl is always perfect, even in American apparel underwear. They are basically advertising the American apparel undergarments line... Haha
Saying that a girl doesnt have to spend lots of money on Victoria secret underwear and bras, but that they also look perfect in a pair of grandma panties!;D -

#3 top rated interpretation:It's about how a girl can be perfect no matter what size, shape, or looks ... so they're saying everyone is perfect in their own little awkward way
-
I think, it deals about the perfection of this girl is , even wearing grandma's panties... This sound ridiculous but it stated here that no matter how perfect the person is, we should follow always the footsteps in the society

I feel like there talking about how perfect the girl is in the song and how much confidence they have towards her I also feel like this song is really emotional and how confident the girl should be
-
It's when his girlfriend is dancing around in his American apparel underwear and making him Giggity
-
Its actually talking about the morning after you have sex.
-
I read an article and the band said that someone had an idea about the line "she looks so perfect standing there, in my American apparel underwear" and that the song has no meaning behind it.
-
5 seconds of summer don't find 'american apparel underwear' very nice so this song suggests that if your girlfriend looks good in american apparel underwear then she looks good in everything and is the perfect girl for you.
