At the beginning, he is remembering memories from their relationship, but he quickly brings himself back to the reality of it, and tries asking your friends, only to get a short, general answer of "you're doing fine." He kinda wonders if your friends are just trying to keep you away from her. He wants to know whether or not the guy that you are with now makes you happy, and if he doesn't, if you try and make yourself feel better by reading little notes, or text that he sent to you before your relationship ended.

He is now wondering if you were just leading him on, because if you loved him like he loved you, you wouldn't be happy with someone else, you would be torn apart.
He is now thinking back to the day that you broke-up, and how torn apart you were then. You were crying as if you were forced to leave. But he remembers that together, you had plans, and dreams, and you just left that behind when you left him. He just wishes that he could wake up, and not remember anything, so he wouldn't have to deal with the pain and depression that was caused when you left him. He just wants to forget what he calls "stupid little things", but on the inside they were his favourite things about being with you.

He is now remembering more about the relationship. Little pictures that you would send back and forth, inside jokes,things of that sort. He is admitting that he tortures himself by looking at all of this because he knows that you're what you call "happy" with this new guy. He tells you that it is really hard to hear your name, because people don't realize just what they're saying. To him you were everything, but to them, your're just a person, a friend, a mediocre acquaintance.
He is wondering if your relationship really ever did happen, or did he just make a fool of himself, falling head-over-heels in love with you, only to be played like a chess piece.

Amnesia is definitely one of my favourite sad songs to cry to, Every lyric has a significant meaning
the chorus of course : i wish that i could wake up with amnesia and forgot all the stupid little things ( personally this lyric tells me how in love the couple was, and how every small thing was so important am memorable, when she left, the small things hurt even more because it’s everywhere, and he wishes he could forget all of them)

I think the meaning of the song means that Calum is saying he loved someone but he lost them to another guy.
I also think Luke is saying he really misses that girl.
Oh by the way,my stepsister missed so many years of my life, i blamed her, then she got mad at me, and didn't see me for over 5 years. But my mom,stopped my stepsister from seeing me when i was 5 years old.
My stepsister came back into my life when i was 12, and she barely knows me, i have every right to say i can't like my mom. -
This song makes me cry crocodile tears! I have a younger sister that was made move away & we were so devastated. This song came out a year after we were separated. I relate to the deep love & feeling lonely & confused how easy it seemed to me she was able to move on like we never were close & didn't ever makeep plans for our future. We've reunited & our bond is growing stronger daily. This song will always have a special place in my heart. It got me through some lonely heartbreaking times.I even got "Alright Though" with the 5SOS emblem under it. I suffered a spinal cord injury from a horrible car accident. 5SOS love of fam & encouragement to live & love & don't harm yourself was truly an approach to youth through music that defiantly changed youths lives all over the world. These young men should definitely be aknowlaged for sending good positive messages to their fans. The Beatles & 5SOS sent the most powerful positive love to their fans in my opinion. I love our boys & they forever will be on my play list! Thanks for saving fans! We love saving bands!

I think Amnesia is about all the memories that linger in the backs of the minds and the feelings of people who lost somebody close to them.

The first time I heard this I burst out crying. Still do.
Anyways, I feel like he's trying to say that she broke his heart and he keeps holding on to these good memories, holding on this hope, and it's tearing him apart inside. He's beginning to question what state their relationship was in before, if she ever truly loved him. -
I think this song was dedicated to Aleisha, Luke's ex girl friend. And this song is about Luke and Aleisha when they had to be separated because Luke had to go on tours and Aleisha had to stay.

I've loved everyone's interpretations and agree to a lot but the ones about suicide don't stick, nobody died its obvious.

This indicates that the person is still alive. He sings about his memories with the girl and the relationship was special to him.
He's wondering if she is actually alright, if she's grieving like he is. He starts to believe that everything was just a lie and wishes that he could have Amnesia so he can not live through the pain of his heartbreak.
