5 Seconds of Summer: Wrapped Around Your Finger Meaning
Wrapped Around Your Finger Lyrics
You met me in your backyard that night
In the moonlight you looked just like an angel in disguise
My whole life seemed like a postcard
You were mine for a night
I was out of my mind
You were mine...

#1 top rated interpretation:This boy he had liked this girl for quite some time. My guess is that they were probably like friends. Because let's face it, if a stranger threw rocks at you window to get you attention you would probably scream bloody murder.
Maybe that night was like the last night before the girl left for college or something and he wanted to spend the last night with her. They end up spending the entire night at the beach, talking about their dreams and future plans. Just letting loose and having fun.
The boy thought that she liked him back, but in reality she didn't, which makes him heart broken. When she leaves, he expects them to still remain in touch but she never did. The boy realizes that he might never get over her, as in the line, "I told myself that I'm never gonna be alright."
He then muses about how she had him wrapped around her finger without even trying. It is a bittersweet song, and remains one of my favorites -
A boy is friends with a girl with quite some time, and wants to make a move. He shows up to her house and they spend a night travelling around the city and coast. On their way home, a car crash happens and she dies and he survives. Many years later he is still in love with her and would do anything to get her back

A guy who loved a girl and they spent the night together at the beach. After that night, he thought they were together now but she turned him down because she was just leading him on. She then moves away and he thinks that he'll never get over her because she broke his heart.

I think that they were together and everything and one night they just decied to go to the beach and there he proposed that next day he finds his newly finance with another guy and they never spoke again thats why I think when they say the lyrics " I told myself that i'm never gonna be alright " that the guy who lost his fiance is never gonna be alright but that I just my opinion but who cares its a good song no matter what.

a boy loves a girl and she has him wrapped around her finger. They spend the night together on the beach and make plans for the future. She leaves, but the song never states why. Everyone assumes that she didn't love him back, but there's so many reasons. Maybe she moved away, or was sent to boarding school or something. Maybe he's the one who left. Maybe she died. Maybe they really did love each other, but something separated them. Honestly, there are hundreds of possibilities.

I think its about a guy meeting a nice girl and planning his future with her, while thinking that the girl likes him too. (Which she doesnt. Shes leading him on). Then they were together for a night, but then when he came around to ask her out she stabbed him in the back and said she never liked him and that she was moving away. This makes the boy broken. Making him feel depressed and believing that the girl had him wrapped around her finger.

I think it's about they are missing a girl and they love her.
They had a chance but it didn't work out how they planned. "I thought I had you in the palm of my hands that night." They thought she would be there forever. But now she's gone
