Avril Lavigne: Remember When Meaning
Remember When Lyrics
I told you everything
You know my feelings
It never crossed my mind
That there would be a time
For us to say goodbye
What a big surprise
But I’m not lost
I’m not gone
I haven’t...

It's about when you've been with someone for a while, you've shared an amazing time together but your feelings just change towards them. You can't ignore the fact that you want out, but you love them and they are still your best friend; you still need it to end though, even though it kills them.
It's not like you're going to forget about that person, they're still the most special person ever, but you can't ignore the fact that things just aren't right for you. -
For me, it's a song about someone who you have lost contact with or stopped being close to. It is mainly interpreted as a break up but I think it could be anything, a family member who stopped talking to you or a friend who you lost contact with after a fight. It is basically saying, "Remember the good times, I'm not saying come back to me, I'm just saying keep it in mind that I will always be there if you need me and I will always love you".
