Album cover for Always album cover

Always Lyrics

I've been here before a few times
And I'm quite aware we're dying
And your hands they shake with goodbyes
And I'll take you back if you'd have me
So here I am I'm trying
So here I am are you ready

Come on let me hold you touch you feel...

Always is about a break-up that you regret happening & you want the other person back

"Always" is about, knowing a relationship is getting sour or "dying" and making the best out of it before it's over for good.

All these are good interpretations. But isn't the actual song about Travis and his wife? Maybe they were all fighting over her kinda trying to win her and Travis won XD? Seriously.

Well, to me it means that 'he' has been blamed for problems with 'her' before and 'he' understands that it is going to happen again but 'he' doesn't want to see it happen. 'He' still loves 'her'. 'She' is thinking that 'he' isn't right for 'her', in other words, wants to break up. Obviously, 'he' isn't over 'her' yet. 'He' want to be with her ALWAYS.

I love this song, :D its the story of my life.
