Eminem: Like Toy Soldiers Meaning
Song Released: 2004
Like Toy Soldiers Lyrics
We all fall down...
[Chorus]
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win
But the battle wages on for toy...
-
This song is about when ja whatever the fuck his name is starts talking about eminem and they have this big motherfucking rapping war then toy soldiers is the end to it

In this track Eminem shades light on the beef btwn 50 Cent and Ja Rule.He also tells on how he got into the beef with Ja Rule.He also describes what a beef can lead to e.g. Proof's death.Simply Eminem advises artistes on how to handle a beef.He sees himself as a leader.

Haven't seen a single 100% correct answer yet. Like toy soldiers is about his battle with ja rule.. True but the man dying is played by his HS best friend and D12 team mate Proof. It is about his friend proof dying for he wrong reasons and how eminem would take the blame for it. The crazy part is, about a year later proof was shot and killed on 8 mile in Detroit. The whole song and music video is astonishing, almost like eminem knew it would happen, tothe point where at the end of the video it shows eminem walking away, with the faces of 4 other D12 members.. Only one missing was proof. It is a great song describing the pointless struggles the rap world faces, along with the strange prediction of his best friends death.
-
Its about his best friend, who is 6 pack, another rapper, and 6 pack saved eminems life by risking his own. eminem has many song which are about his life.

Toy soldiers is about trying to cool the situation with Ja Rule. If you listen he says in his lyrics he says 'there used to be a time when you could jus say a rhyme nd not have to worry about 1 of ur people dyin' ne fan knws this isn't what the game is about !! but yeah ja rule did start it and yeah he did cross the line!!
-
actually bugz was a part of D12

When Hailey's name is used in one of his songs, eminem completely flips and shit and goes all out.
By the end of the song eminem is trying to spread the word not to get into a gang fight-type thing. -
What I think the song Like Toy Soldiers is about. Is how Eminem was supposed to be killed in a drivebye, but some other guy died accidentaly in it. And he is expressing that he didn't want this to happen just because he got into the rap game.
-
Like what has been said, it's about beef in the industry(ja rule and fifty, along with the magazine) but the part that they took out of the song(the "____") isn't about tupac or ja rule he was dissin shug knight(plus dre told me stay out, it just wasn't my business) but dre and em decided to take his name out of it.
-
In eminems book the way i am, he states that after shooting the video for this, he felt like he jinxed proof, and wonders if it would have been the same if he never made the video, Em blames himself for proofs death and is lost with out him R.I.P. Big Proof.
-
I thought it was about tupac?
aha
but yet I also think it's about the stupid reasons why people fight and they just get the "crew" on people
and basically he is saying that it should be stopped because he dunt like it so he is like trying to stop something from happening like ja and 50,
and like saying that there will be loads of people who would get involved because they respect that certain person and eminems trying to sayy enough maybe? -
Whoever said this is a Proof tribute is a dipshit. Like Toy Soldiers was released over a year before Proof died. What a dumb piece of shit. We now of course know that the entire Relapse album is Eminem's tribute to Proof.
