#1 top rated interpretation:This song is expressing Marshall Mathers, or Eminem's wild persona, Slim Shady. In this song he refers to himself only as Slim, even the chorus states it is his name. The song shows the wild, attention craved schemes and acts of Marshall's persona, Slim

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:In the Eminem songs Marshal Mathers has two alternate personalities, of course he has his Eminem personality who's basically a crazy, fun(drug)-loving party animal with a thing for comic book heroes(Without Me,Buisness), and then there's Slim Shady, who personifies the dark half of Marshal's personality, every angry thought and every second of his childhood abuse are shown with this Mr.Hyde Personality as compared to the caring family man 'Dr.Mathers.’(The Way I Am) ‘My Name Is’ is Shady on a good day.

I'm not much if a rap guy, but I heard a few of Eminems songs (the old ones) and I had a strange respect for his music. He has no fear to say what others wouldn't. This song was terrible, subject wise that is. But message wise it's great. sounds great too. He wanted to tell the world that he clearly isn't a good guy, he says this by creating the character "slim shady" it's later revealed that not only is slim shady an alter ego for marshal, but also an alter ego in all of us. This song can be one of two things. Story of his life events with slim shady, or a collection of stories from several slim shady's. He most likely created random stories to tell just for the sake of the song if this were about different slim all
Shady's. But that's just my opinion. -
i bet you all think this is a funny song dont you? it's not. it's one of mr. mathers ways of dealing with his life. you think the part about being hungery is funny dont you? it's not. he was talking about being hungery, realy truly hungery, becuase he was so, so, hungry, liveing in 8 mile. "i used to be so hungry i'd throw fits" either subconsiously, or consiously he covered it up with the next part.
you think the part about "if you see my dad" is funny dont you? it's not.
this song is a way of hiding his depression. trust me i've writen songs like this, you just want a little laugh, you want people to think your fine. and i'm gunna make a guess that this isnt gunna get any votes because ya'll just like songs for being funny and dont think this is true. -
