Eminem: The Monster Meaning
Song Released: 2013
The Monster Lyrics
I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed
Get along with the voices inside of my head
You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath
And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy
[Verse 1: Eminem]
I wanted...

I think this is about his past. His past hasn't been exactly a straight and clean road, and slim shady is his alter ego that is BAD. In the music video Eminem is forced to revisit his past through past music videos, and at the end he sees his alter ego Slim Shady who gives him rhymes (song lyrics). Some of the lyrics also say he wants to just walk in the street without 100 people saying "OMG, It's Eminem!" or with 4 bodyguards. (The song lyrics that say this are "wanted to be left alone in public, excuse me" and "Call me crazy but I had a vision one day that I'd walk amongst you as a regular civilian")

I believe it is about a personal struggle,of them wanting to change their ways but juss going along with the voices in their heads.

I think it's a song about the monster that lives within him A.K.A "Slim Shady"...
He is seen revisiting his pasts (through past music videos).. And at the end he receives "rhymes" or lyrics from him. -
I think this is about someone going crazy. or that they monster &' the voices in the head are their only friend..
