#1 top rated interpretation:Eminem is saying that parents and the FCC doesn't understand his music and what he raps about, so instead they listen to old music (Elvis). He says how without his music kids will feel like helpless prisoners. He also says that no matter where you are, if the name "Eminem" is mentioned, people will have something bad to say about him. He implies that if you are a parent and you are attempting to not allow your kid to listen to him that they will find a way to listen to him because he's so good. In the last verse, he wonders if the FCC and parents don't like him because he is white and is doing a mostly black profession, and they think he is doing it just to get money. He also says that no matter how many other rappers there are, he is the best and rap would not be the same if he were to stop rapping.

#2 top rated interpretation:This song is clearly about how eminem has changed the rap game and how the rap game relies on him. " it will feel so empty without me". He expresses he hatred for how the FCC and parents want to change or eliminate eminem, even though, as he says in the song, how music, specifically the rap game, relies on him

#3 top rated interpretation:Eminem has always been hated by the FCC and has sang this song that clearly states that kids no a days are mostly into his music and their parents are listening to Elvis and aceient music. There is this kid in the music video that has bought the eminem that had the FCC tag that sad "Parent Advisory needed". Now Eminem is goijng to save that kid buy dreesing up like robin in showing the world that he is proud to be the FCC's hater.

He struggled getting a record deal, singing the songs he originally wrote.
He then decided to use an alter ego, Slim Shady, to realese different music.
It was a hit so he stuck with Slim Shady.
He's singing about how he has given up the real him to his alter ego and how things will be different with out him -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
