Pour Me Lyrics

Pour me, pour me, pour me another,
It holds me, holds me,
Like no other,
One more drink, then I swear that I'm going home,
Truth is, I don't really have a place to go,
So pour me, pour me, pour me another.

I wake up right about the...

On a very simple level, by taking the lyrics literally you could interpret that the song is about a man who is extremely depressed, doesn't care about anything anymore and turns to drinking to take his mind off stress.

Thought on a metaphorical level, the drinking could be a symbol for anything else that one does to numb the pain.

"Pour me, pour me, pour me another,
    It holds me, holds me,
    Like no other"

The chorus is basically saying, pour me another drink so I can be numb and "it holds me like no other" means that it makes me feel safe/relaxed like nothing else.

"One more drink, then I swear that I'm going home,
Truth is, I don't really have a place to go,
So pour me, pour me, pour me another"

The person promises to go home but he has nothing left to go back to and so continues to abuse themselves with their head in the clouds.

"I wake up right about the mid-afternoon,
With the sun in the sky but nights coming soon,
I walk to the mirror just to fix myself,
Yeah life gets harder when you love nothing else,
So I pick my pills from the counter drawer,
Pick my self-esteem up off the fucking floor,
I guess I'm a man of no recourse,
As I crack another bottle, got no remorse,
And I'll say a little prayer for the child in me,
I swear I used to be one, I truly believe,
That I'm not just a man with these broken dreams,
Even I could go to heaven,
    If I part the seas"

The guy is coming down with a hangover or emotional hangover for that matter and he clearly doesn't care about what he does with his life, giving it away to alcohol and/or the depression that is eating him away slowly.

His self esteem has wasted away but the youth and childhood dreams are still inside him, wishing for something more but he really doesn't want to believe any longer.

"People get sick when they watch you bleed,
When you fell from the top, boy you better believe,
At the bottom, they got just, yeah, just what you need,
Well at the bottom, you can't swim 'cause you drank up the sea,
Then we stop and we look up to the sky,
They don't ask any questions, they ask us why?
Don't have any answers, don't know what to say,
    Our knees are getting tired,
    Too tired to pray"

"When you fell from the top" can be interpreted as when the guy let himself go he had nothing on fall onto because he "drank up the sea" meaning he left nothing for himself, no second chance.

He doesn't know what to do with himself and is tired of trying and praying for something that he thinks will never come to him.

"Time just seems to go on and on,
    On and on,
    And on and on,
Life inside a bottle all alone,
    All alone,
    The bottles gone,
I'm not just a man with these broken dreams,
Even I could go to heaven,
    If I part the seas,
Whats life inside a bottle if it's gone?
One more song and I'm finally free,
I'll meet you here in heaven, between the sea"

The bridge is sort of an extra melancholic part reflecting on how the days just seem to drag on forever for this guy and when the bottle (his temporary distraction from life) has all been drunk up, there's nothing to do because the bottle is now his life (What's life inside a bottle if it's gone?).

I'm not exactly sure what HU meant by "one more song and I'm finally free". It probably means suicide or something but I'm not entirely sure. Probably means that after this last one his mind will finally be liberated, the cycle of drunkeness starting again.

In the end, this is just my interpretation and it's my favourite Hollywood Undead song.

I think it means that everyone has their own addiction no matter what it is. Whether it is an addiction to sex, drugs or alcohol. Everyone has their own addiction no matter what their reason is or if they have almost no reason at all. This song is just the same song that is sung about not just one addiction but many by the artists.
I have to admit I love this song no matter what it means to me or anyone else. I love HU and remember other viewers that this is just my personal opinion :)

the way i see it is he's just another guy that becomes depressed and gets into alcohol and trys to drink his sorrow away. he has nothing left and he planned on killing himself. but didnt he came back and drank away his sorrow and talks to the bartender and the first drink is when it starts out. then he talks about how he trys to overdose, picks his self-esteem up. then another drink. talks about how he tried to kill himself and didnt. another drink and talks about how time goes on and that he hopes that people like him will go to heaven. but i dont know. thats just my idea

This person ''believes'' he's a good individual deep down inside his soul. This is where his inner child dwells, but his outer grown part of his personality became ''poor in spirit'' in and with the outside world that he feels is not to healthy and he is getting sick in it, trying to survive with no home and with all the phonies around him where he's also trying to escape psychologically with the addiction of alcohol and the bottle to sympatize his feelings with. For another ''pour me'', just one more drink please! 'cause he feels even a person like him will go to Heaven, if for some reason he should die, trying to part the sea as a alcoholic in this messed up world.

To me it almost seems like a man is sitting at a bar. Extremely depressed. He has lost everything. He love life is in ruin. And as he drinks away the pain. He has a conversation with the bartender(chorus) As the bartender pours him drinks. The man tells the bartender all of his problem and breakdowns(Time goes on and on part). The bartender gives him advice(some of J3T's parts)and the man reflects on his life as he gets this advice(some of J3T's parts)This my interpenetration. The way the songs seems to me.

I feel like the songs is about a young man visibly in his 20s at a party or get together. he is trying to get away from life by drinking. he hasn't made much of himself and is like oh well what have I got to lose? that's where I feel like the song comes from

Guys you might think about ur like that. But I think bout it like most Hollywood undead songs should be. The song is about him J3T... now a lot of things make sense. Like one more song and I'm finally free. Or in other songs when he compares himself to god and/or praying to god like in we are "you can see god when I take my mask off"

I feel that its about how hes struggling with life whatever the problems are. He needs alchohol, not just to make him feel better, but to feel like he means something in the world. When it says he has no where to go, I think it means he has no where to go that means anything to him, like to go home to a family or friends. Thats why he keeps drinking, to fill in that void in his life. How it says life just goes on means this about the void, how nothing is here for himor nothing is significant about his life.

its about how, like, when life gets tough, you think that a drink can help it all go away. but in reality it just makes it a lot worse.

It's obviously about a drinking problem and about the negative effects it has on the singers' life (lives). Also, the lyrics DO NOT SAY "if I'm part deceased" that makes NO SENSE and they OBVIOUSLY SAY " if I part the seas" made even more evident by the fact that they make MORE BIBLICAL references about parting the sea to get to heaven, as mentioned in the line "between the sea"

I think that its about a guy with a serious drinking problem who needs something to take away the pain. He obviously wants to quit because he believes he will go to heaven but just cant find the power to do so.

I think what he's saying is that he's down in life and that he could be a good person and 'go to heaven if I part the sea' , but right now it's just easier if he just has another drink.

I think it's about how they got where they are now. They used to live on their tour bus because they had nowhere else to stay. It's about how life sucks and they'd just get wasted so they wouldn't have to think about it.

And I think the lyrics are "If I part the seas" for the end of the first verse. And it's "What's life inside a bottle if it's gone?," not "cold."

I think its saying that he is depressed so he has a drinking problem and he wants to stop but nobody is there for him so he just keeps on drinking. He is also saying that he used to be happy and what he wanted to be but that all went away and that he has broken dreams and that he lost his chance to go to Heaven. He fell from the top but the bottom has nothing. He feels as if has no friends in his life just himself. He keeps praying for help but it never comes. More time keeps passing by but nothing is changing. He is living an empty life.

He is drinking because his life sucks. He is just wondering around in this world. With drinking to get rid of his sad, depressing feeling. "Whats life inside a bottle if it's cold?" (by the way i think that might be the wrong lyric. Should be gone instead of cold.) he is saying life inside a bottle as in he is trapped, he has to drink to feel good. He has nothing, no friends, just him and alcohol. "Life inside a bottle all alone."

This song has the greatest impact on me because i know that exact feeling.

My guess is his wife/girlfriend kicked him out, and ended it and he needs something to ease the pain. So he goes to get a few drinks.
