Hollywood Undead: Young Meaning
Young Lyrics
But we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong
We don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart
I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain.
I see the love; I see the...

#1 top rated interpretation:When I hear this song I picture a group of kids that don’t want to go through life not doing anything to be remembered by, they want to make a change. They want to be remembered, these kids don’t want to follow in with the normal things. They’ll leave their homes just to see if they can do better. They wear ripped and torn clothes, with Hollywood Undead leading them through the streets. The streets that are destroyed and ruined, but they still have hope in their eyes.
You can pick these kids out in a group. Violent oppressed teenagers born in the wrong time of the world and realizing how strong they are and how strong they can be. Trying to find a place where they can actually feel at home, Trying to be themselves and saying ‘fuck them to the rest of the people. -

#3 top rated interpretation:I believe it's about a new generation growing up in the chaos already there and having to take up the responsibilities and problems left behind by the older ones.

Some kids dealing with real world shit, caring about it, and wanting to do something about it, even the ones who have no reasons to go one with life. They have gone through hell and back. Watching other people die, watching some people lie their way out of stupid shit. Some people hating others and/or loving others. They live in a world that is tearing itself apart. Some examples are, "Yes! we wave this flag of hatred, but you're the ones who made it!! Watch the beauty of all our lies passing right before my eyes.", "I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain. I see the love; I see the hate; I see this world that we can make!"
Watching people fighting amongst themselves. All they wanted was a permanent home.Society is tearing them, all they know, and all they love apart. Waiting for everyone to either live through it, or till judgement day. Examples are, "All together, walk alone against all we've ever known. All we've ever really wanted was a place to call our home. But you take all we are; the innocence of our hearts.Made to kneel before the altar as you tear us apart!", "We will fight or we will fall, till the angels save us all", and "As we walk among these shadows in these streets, these fields of battle" -
I think it's about teens who are "different" from most and how they are born as the world is going downhill and kind if their hatred of the older generations putting them down and they're trying to stand up for themselves.

This song is about young people that are sick and tired of not having justice or freedoms. When I listen to this song I feel like it is about corrupt governments and think of execution of people that did not commit the crime and are only there for prejudice and the kids are rebelling. Finally the the chorus makes me feel like they are saying they are young and might not know everything but they still will try to fix things and that they are different from everyone else.

I think the song is about kids growing up in a world full of violence and war and all the kids want is for the violence to end by rising up against the government.
so the meaning of this song is a message towards the U.S. government saying that they're contributing to the destruction of the world and that having wars is destroying the human race. It's also showing us that if we all work together to stop a problem then we will all achieve want we want. -
A set of individuals with a pursuance of their feelings about militarism abuse, and,"make us kneel before the alter," meaning governmental power, usage, and abuse, is current. Also is the earths' beings, tumbling into a haloing virus, of what, you may call,"life," and an destructive usage of sheer power, and intimidation.
-
It's about how not all young people are ruthless yobs, and that there are actually some decent young people. And in the lyrics 'yes we wave this flag of hatered but you're the ones who made it' it's saying to the older generation that we may not be the greates but we were copying off them.

This song is about how the world is so messed up. Everyone's having sex, drugs are "cool", people party all the time and get drunk (they don't understand that people can just sit down and have a beer, they don't have to get wasted everytime you drink.), and everyone thinks being "gangsta" and acting all ghetto it's cool. They're Saying that kids are growing up I'm the corrupt, and morally wrong world.hence the name "young" because it's rubbing off on young people, kids, not adults like them.
-
I think basically the world was already messed up before our generation. the old generation is giving us a world and government for us to clean up. It's hurting our generation. We are young, yes.. but it's true that we actually have heart.. we just are tired of not having freedom, and the justice the world truly needs.
-
I think what it means is that the youth of this generation are born into chaos and war,
that we are stronger then we think and we can chose our future. Not what grown ups want us to do.
in the part of the song
"we wave this flag of hatred, but you're the ones who made it!!" means we hate the old generation because of what you have done to us and our future so its your fault not ours i know it sounds like there pointing the finger but its true. -
J3T said in an interview that the meaning is about the negative aspects of life and to inspire young kids that everything will get better but its up to them to choose their own path. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNq4NVA2fPQ&feature=fvsr
