Simple Plan: I'm Just a Kid Meaning
I'm Just a Kid Lyrics
I waited till 11
Just to figure out that no one would call
I think i got a lot of friends but I don't hear from them
What's another night all alone?
When your spending everyday on your own
And here it...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think many of these interpretations are inaccurate, I think it's about a guy who "has a lot of friends" but never gets invited anywhere or to hang out. He's sad because he's "alone and the world is having more fun than me". This happens so often to him he's used to it "whats another night all alone, when you're spending everyday on your own". He is always ignored and he feels that know cares about him. He tries to fit in but can't, he's wondering whats wrong with him "what the f**k is wrong with me don't fit in with anybody how could this happen to me?" And since he never goes out, he's always at home, in his room alone " and maybe when the night is dead, I'll crawl into my bed, staring at these for walls again" he tries to think of happier times so he doesn't feel so depressed, but the same thing keeps popping into his mind, he's going to be left all alone, again, which makes him even more depressed "I try to think about the last time, I had a good time. Everyone's got somewhere to goc and they're gonna leave me here on my own" as for the title, Im just a kid, means he's just a kid, the kid that's in the back, the kid that is always alone, the kid that is constantly ignored, he's just a kid

#2 top rated interpretation:"Nobody wants to be alone in the world."
"Nobody cares, cause I'm alone and the world is
Having more fun than me tonight."
The vast majority of humans are fairly social creatures, to some degree or another. When one finds oneself unable to connect well with others -- maybe as a so-different-from-everyone-else outcast, or maybe just due to social awkwardnesses or anxieties that make real connections very difficult -- this can lead to a kind of loneliness and despair that's very hard for most others who haven't felt it to understand...
"I'm just a kid."
...And to have to go through this as a kid, or a teenager -- when the social worlds of middle- and high-school are practically exploding all around -- when the life-experience to potentially deal with such difficulties just isn't there yet -- makes this particular hell just that much more painful and depressing... -

#3 top rated interpretation:"Here it goes." I think it's about how hard it is to be alone. So many kids have "friends" that aren't really. and it just keeps getting worse.

I think this song tells if you want to be cared or make friends, it will mean you are just a kid. If you are matured enough, you won’t feel like you need friends at all. If you feel like you want friends, that means you are just a kid.
-
This song is about the pain and desperation of fitting in or standing out as a teenager. They know it's not fair because maybe they went through a hardship or abuse relationship or just so stressed and they feel as though no one wants to talk to them or listen because they're 'Just a Kid' so there saying doesn't matter and there feelings aren't real. They don't want to be alone but they don't know what to do about and there kind of lost and in the void 'Nobody Cares'.
Well aleast that's my interpretation. -
This song talks about how life sucks
-
I think this song says that life is hard when you're a kid. You don't have a very wide range of liberty because of frigging parents, and a lot of kids are picked on because they're "weird" or "different."
Honestly (and I say all this from experience), it's hard to fit in. -
I think the name of the song pretty much sums it up. I think it means how in society kids don't really get to voice there opinions because the older people see them as 'just kids'. Its also about being a kid too
-
I think that it means that they are tired of to much responsibility being place on their shoulder, because they're only kids.
-
This song is about life and how it's not fair when your a kid because you don't have any rights. How you have to listen to your parents all day. How you don't have a choice in anything. This song is about you in high school and you have to be in the right click or eles your a loser. well if I'm wrong then I typed all that for nothing.
-
This song is true for so many kids out there who no one really notices when they try so hard to just be normal.
