Simple Plan: Welcome to My Life Meaning
Welcome to My Life Lyrics
Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place,
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you?
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no...

#1 top rated interpretation:Ive been reading a lot of meanings, and it was like "its for teenagers" "its for adults" "story of my life",but i think its for everyone...for anyone whos been hurt by someone...who just wanted to scream because the pain was so huge, for people thats been through all kind of crap...personally i used to cry, scream and cut myself listening to this song...when i felt like i have no friends,no one understanding what im going through...and everybody was like "oh i know what its like...itll pass..."and all i wanted to say was "shup up...its not happening to you...how dare you telling me what to feel" i think thats what the song is about...that we all get hurt...that people shouldnt be judging each other until they get in your shoes

#2 top rated interpretation:I think that this song describes just how frustrating life can get for people and how their families can effect the way they feel and live, also how the people around them can change their day. The song is also trying to show how the person is so overwhelmed with depression that they feel as if they are alone and the only one who feels like they do. When the songer says '' are you desperate to find something more before your life is over?;'' I break down and cry everytime because I feel as if I'm wasting my youth in this town. #3 top rated interpretation:It's about when your going through something and you just wanna get it out but just no one understands. Also when people say they get it but they really don't there's a part when he says never got stabbed in the back. What he's saying about that is even if so far life's been good that doesn't mean it can't go south on you. It can mean to that your sick of the lying the fake ness if your family is in poverty and you ask them is everything all right then. But you can just see that there about to have a breakdown because they ont kow what to do.

For me I think this song is describing how his/her life is hard.... I can relate to this because i've been abused by my parents and bullies me in school.... This song is describing how much they hate their lives and always down because no one loves them....and they always feel like they don't belong in this place.... And like their are always crying because it hurts so much being the one left out....like I told I can relate to this it is also because I want to die but couldn't do it and no one understands you and they don't know what we feel like cause they don't care about you...that's all....
welcome to my life..... -
I think whoever's singing this song is trying to say that baiscally, their lifes been shit and that the other person has had a perfect life. Like the perfect life person wants to get involved with the other person who's lifes been shit and the perfect life person says something like I understand what you're going through
(I know. My explanation is very, very shitty) -
I think this song is trying to make an outsider understand how difficult life can be behind closed doors. I personally relate to this song because I’ve always been bullied. My whole life. And those people don’t understand all the shit I’ve been through in my life, and they’re only making things worse for me. I think this song is made to open other people’s eyes to the struggles that some people have with fitting in.
-
i think Welcome to my life is a representation of how someone feels in everyday life, and all the struggles that people go through in everyday life

This is about a teenager, adult, preteen (like me), a whatever, going through deep deep deep deep depression. He/she doesn't have anyone who cares about it, though. So he/she puts on a fake smile and fake laughs throughout the entire day, when he/she lies awake at night wondering if her/his life will ever get better, and wondering if it would be ok to end it all. But the teenager/preteen/adult doesn't want you to go through what they are going through, and can't explain how horrible their life is, and how you've probably never felt like they have been feeling lately. The songs on this album really speak to me, and I wish there were more like them.

It's about a teenager who doesn't have anything and whose life is terrible. He's introducing you to his life - "Welcome to my life." - and how terrible it is.
He explains how he feels "Out of place" like he doesn't belong in this world and that no one around understands him. He wants to run away, he wants to be somebody else, he feels like he's always being pushed around, he's sick of feeling so alone - it's just basically everything he says in the song.
The teenager suffers from deep depression - as he explains in the song - and isn't one bit happy. He doesn't have anyone to save him, to help him, to be there for him, and he's all alone - which is something no one wants to be, ever.
He also says, "No, you don't know what it's like. Welcome to my life.", as in it's so bad that you don't know what he's going through and he's explaining to you how bad it is, and how he doesn't want to be there and how he wants to find something more - something else - before his life is over.
Bottom line, it's about a really depressed teenager who hates his life and who doesn't have anyone there that cares. -
I believe this song is about feeling like you don't belong and that you feel like that no one can understand what you're going through. This song is for anyone who has been hurt by someone and wanted to scream because the pain was so huge. Its about when your going through a tough time and you just wanna get it out but no one understands. There's a part when he says he never got stabbed in the back. What he's trying to say is that is even if life has been good so far, it doesn't mean that it can't go south on you. I believe that this particular song is about how judgmental the world is. The band wanted to say that no one knows how your life is nor do you know how someone else's life is. So don't hurt people and try to ignore people who hurt you. Not everyone knows what its like to be someone else. The main message is that “don't say anything about me when you know nothing about me”.
-
It's his pain he's feeling. Everyone can carry a fake smile, fake laugh. You never know how someone's day's going.
"To be kicked when you're down"
To be at the saddest part of your life and one smide remark from one person can effect your entire day, and tear you down.
No one wants to help him in his mind, in his mind he's the only one that's feeling this pain, and all he wants is help.
"No one's there to save you."
Yeah, this is how he's been feeling "Welcome to my life." -

It is about this teen who hates his/her life and no one is there for him/her, so he/she wants to try back it out, and he/she asks you questions, and if you ever felt like that, well, welcome to his/her life
What do I mean?
He/She is giving you an idea what is life like for him/her. But hoped this helped! -
I think it's about how judgemental the world is. The band wanted to say that No one knows how your life is nor do you know how someone else's life is. So don't hurt people and try to ignore people who hurt you.

I think that its about feeling like you don't belong and that you feel like that no one can understand what you're going through.
and not everyone knows what its like to be someone else so i think that its saying don't say anything about me when you know nothing about me. -
