Back From The Dead Lyrics
B-b-b-b-b-back-back-back
B-b-b-b-b-back-back-back
Cold and black inside this coffin
'Cause you all try to keep me down
How it feels to be forgotten
But you'll never forget me now
Enemies clawing at my eyes
I...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about how a person is saved by the Lord from Satan. It teaches others that people who are not saved from Jesus Christ are "dead", but when you accept Him you are "back from the dead". Hopefully this song will encourage others to accept Christ so we all can come back from the dead and become alive.

#2 top rated interpretation:You all only guess this due to skillet being a Christian rock band. Well, I do not think this, since Skillet stated that they are moving into rock but not just a Christian band.
The song to me means "Fuck you." To everyone who claims rock is dead. This is the revival of rock and role. -
I think the song is about how Satan and the people in this world who follow him will try to bring you down but if you trust in God he’s got your back. That’s why John says “the Zombies come out at night” meaning the people who follow Satan and try to convince you that God isn’t real. Also when John says “Full of love, Full of life, full of fight” meaning that because he trusted in God he is more powerful than the evil people. And it’s super clear from a Christian point of view that when he says “I’m back from the dead” he means that when you don’t have God with you you’re considered dead but when you trust in him he gives you life.

From my perspective, I believe it's like this. When you have sinned, you are considered dead. But when you repent and ask forgiveness, you are brought back to life.
