Skillet: Don't Wake Me Meaning
Don't Wake Me Lyrics
I ain't the same since I'm living without You
All the memories are getting colder
All the things that I wanna do over
I went to bed I was thinking about You
I wanna talk and laugh like we used...
-
I think it’s about falling in love with someone that you know you’re never going to end up with.
-
John often sings about losing his mum at a young age. He mentions all the memories are fading which says that it happened a while ago. and he accepts that in his dreams he can see hi mum and laugh and talk like they used to.
-
No I think it's about his mom cuz John sometimes talks about losing his mom at a young age so maybe he dreams about her and doesn't want anyone to wake him up because he can't be with her anymore, and he only has are dreams to remind him of her and make him feel like she's still alive.
-
I think its about his relationship with god and losing someone he truly loved and he doesn't want to face reality on it but in his dreams he happy but he doesn't want to the pain and hurt in his heart
I can relate to this song right now over my friendship with this guy right now -
I believe it's about having a great friend/group of friends, and your group breaks up. Then you're on your own, and it seems as if it never happened. But you don't want to leave the dream it was, you don't want to be forgotten. You remember the good times, just laughing and talking. Having fun. You want to go back to old times. But there's no going back. You have to keep moving on.

Love lost. Want them back. Can't get them back. How sad. :'(

love lost. want them back.

Eu comecei a escrever “Don’t Wake Me” antes de Comatose lançar.

He's talking about drifting away from God. He realizes that he needs his relationship with Christ to feel as good as he used to.
-
well, i have dreams of former friends and schoolmates. i think the song 'don't wake me when it is just you and me' is clearing understand that we all have dreams of our former friends, family members and schoolmates

Consider this, Skillet is a christian rock band. My interpretation of this song is that the artist is talking about his Relationship with God and how he has been slowly drifting away from Him. There is also the posibility that he is talking about a past relationship with a woman.

To be honest each song has multiple meanings, all depending on how you wish to look at it. In my oppinion this particular song is about a man who lost his chance with his love, whether by breakup or death. He is saying he longs for the chance again to be with her (last song last dance, but i don't get you back don't get another chance) He is singing about the way he feels when he thinks of her, how he doesn't want to wake up when he dreams of her because she meant the world to him.
