Skillet: Not Gonna Die Meaning
Song Released: 2013
Not Gonna Die Lyrics
I won't take this world's abuse
I won't give up I refuse!
this is how it feels when your bent and broken
this is how it feels when your dignity's stolen
when everything you love is leaving you hold...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:To me, this song is about not letting the world over come you with fear or hatred or whatever anyone struggles over. Whatever harms you, you have to let go of it and give it to God.
I feel like it also means that anyone, even kids, can do anything if they really try, even if the entire world is against it. But they don't give up and relentlessly keep going. ("When life pushes me out, I push harder. What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger") -
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:Not letting the devil take you over with his evil ways and standing up for God. "We're gonna stand and fight forever. Don't close your eyes." This means that we will always fight for God and don't turn away from him.

the song i think it means we will fight till we die no matter what kind of evil we face."No not gonna die tonight were gonna stand and fight forever" means that we will keep fighting even if we are outnumbered god is watching us while we give our last breath for him as we die we will ascend to the star in s great holy heaven for peace and eternity

In my opinion, is about suicide/depression, when you're almost "giving in", and Family/Friends "fight" along your side

This song is about never giving up no matter what is thrown at you stand up and fight for what you belive in
-
It means that you have God and he will protect you. You should. Or fear.

To me this song means that as a brother or sister in Christ one of our many duties to be there for others throughout their good and bad times. It can also be about standing up for what you believe in even if no one else does. " I won't give,I refuse" this line makes me think of the kids who aren't afraid to speak their mind or question authority. "This is how it feels when your bent and broken" most of the time we try to push these kids down and tell them not to question authority but what happens when we realize that maybe the government or any other person who has power is greedy? Would I rather listen to a kid who believes that the government is messed up and thinks that we need a governmental reform or the politician that is only here to gain power and is neglecting to figure out what is wrong? Kids have the greatest power, they have the ability to speak out and tell people that all is not well. We are the ones who need to stand up and say " I won't take this world's abuse" For me this song is mostly about kids who are said to be rebels and they really don't care what people say. " When life pushes me, I push harder" The song is saying fight back against society, don't let people tell you what you can and cannot do. Always remember YOU can do ANYTHING if YOU put YOUR mind to it.

I think that it is about anything that brings you down, wether its the devil, or even a person that you know.
