Skillet: Yours to Hold Meaning
Yours to Hold Lyrics
-
Not sure if explanation is required. As strong love song. In my personal opinion, this isn't one of those that have multiple interpretations.

I loved this song for god bless me that he was able yours alone I am ready for him he is yours to hold
-
He's in love with a girl, and knows her situation, her pain, and knows he can help her through them, but she doesn't realize all this. And he's just waiting for him to "catch your eye", and so he can help her. He doesn't know how to tell her this, so he's hoping she sees it.

It could be in God's point of view like one of the lines were "starving for your attention but you do not know my name" could be God saying that to a non-christian. He also says "all along the way, I was yours to hold." He also says "you are going through so much" also if you have watched the music video, it shows the guy trying to see the bruise on her arm, but she doesn't let him see it. Someone may pull away when God tries to help someone. It also says, "I am ready when your ready for me". God is always ready for another believer. That's my interpretation.

Skillet is saying that he will never give up on somebody
He will keep that person safe -
Maybe here the singer(any person) is crushing on a guy/girl depending on their gender (although I have nothing against yaoi or Yuri)who is their senior and has talked with them a few times but does not knows their names. They want to talk to them and help them through their pain but are way too nervous. At last they decide to wait till the time their crush is ready for them then they will come and talk to him but will they really be able to or not, only time will tell. A beautiful yet sad song..... describes my situation
