The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus: Face Down Meaning
Song Released: 2006
Face Down Lyrics
one look put's the rhythm in my hand.
Still I'll never understand why you hang around
I see what's going down.
Cover up with make up in the mirror
tell yourself it's never gonna happen again
you cry...
-
I think everyone is over looking the part that says, "Facedown in the dirt she says, this doesn't hurt she says, I've finnaly had enough." I beleive this part isn't saying she walked away. I believe it is saying HE is the one facedown in the dirt. She had enough of it, took him out and "It doesn't hurt" emotionally for him to be gone or for having done it.
-
Im not 100% sure, but my guess is that it is about a boyfriend abusing his girlfriend and the girlfriend doesn't want to break up with him because she thinks she "loves" him and he "loves" her but he doesnt.
-
this song is about a girl who gets abused by her boyfriend.
shes so afraid to leave him becuase she thinks he'll change;
"tell yourself its never gonna happen again"
but at the end, she realizes that what she's going through is not okay and she doesnt deserve to deal with it. so she leaves him. -
A woman has an abusive boyfriend and still loves him so she won`t leave and acts like it never happens so the band is asking do you feel like a man when you push her around do you feel better now as she falls to the ground
-
I think this guy is in love with this woman which he finds out that her boyfriend hits her. She thinks he loves her but this guy tells her she can have a different life. One day while her boyfriend hits her she tells herself she is tired of it. It's just like my mom's story.
-
I think it is about a woman in a abusive realation ship and her friend or ex boyfriend knows that her boyfriend hits her and he is trying to tell her to leave and she goes and tells him that's she's alright and he asking her boyfriend do you feel like a man when you push her around
-
This song is exactly what it seems. It's a song Ronnie wrote about what he saw growing up...It's about a woman being abused and coming to the point where she's had enough, and she leaves her abuser.. That's what the woman in the video is symbolizing when she throws out the pic of her w/ her boyfriend.

This song is about abuse, a girl who is in an abusive relationship and feels like she has no power and can't brek up with him. "tells herslf it's never gonna happen again" she convinces herself that everything is okay and nothin bad will ever happen between her and her boyfriend again.
The lead singer of the red Jumpsuit apparatus is saying how it drives him crazy to see a beautiful girl and she is being mistreated nadhe can't stand to see her like that. So he stands up for her "do you feel like a man hen you push her around do you feel better now? she falls o the ground" and he is in love with her. -
This song is about abuse, particularly on women
"Cover up with makeup in the mirror, tell yourself its never gonna happen again"
shes tryna make herself look really nice so maybe her boyfriend or whoever he is won't hit her, or she could be covering up a bruise or something.
The chorus is just saying to the guy that does he enjoy what he does to her and in the end when she decides to leave him he'll have have to have all the lies fall on him and he'll suffer the consequences.
"a pebble in the water makes a ripple effect, every action in this world will bear a consequence" basically just saying that even the slightest thing you do will come with a consequence 'good' or 'bad' and through a pebble into water has a consequence which is makin the water ripple.
"one day she will tell you she has had enough' speaks for itself really
"face down in the dirt she says this doesn't hurt" means she's had enough, this is it and she won't put up with it anymore and she's strong and is gonna finally leave him.
this song has heaps of meaning I luv it and I luv the band!!
