Yeah I agree. Maybe the song's about emotional pain, but for me its more about the physical pain you cause to yourself in order to feel ANYTHING. Feeling pain is better than feeling nothing. It lets you know you're alive. Where it says "pain, without love" I interpret it as a reference to the simplicity of cutting. It's pure and simple pain, no emotional strings attached- it's a moment of relief (from the numbness) between you and your razor/knife/whatever...I know people who don't SI will disagree with my interpretation...

this song is about pain being an escape from the world that people become so numb that the only way they can feel anything is through pain possibly about cutting but he's saying that everything is bad so lets feel pain which is better then anything
