Heartache On The Big Screen Lyrics

[Luke:]
Started out like in the movies
But it ended like a bad dream
Curtain opened, heard the crowd roar
This one's a repeat, seen it before

[Calum:]
Rewind to the start before it all went wrong
What's going on?

[Luke:]
Fast forward...

I think the song is about a guy who loved the girl at first then the relationship got super toxic.(started out like the movies but it ended like a bad dream) He is hurt from this relationship and can’t get out.(The clock is ticking and I’m out of time the cameras rolling and I forgot my line) I think he was ready to end the relationship but she wouldn’t listen.(A tragic story starring you and me) He hates this relationship but loves her.

Its pretty self explanatory but i cant help but think that possibly they are still in this negative relationship but they are realizing that its painful for them.

Well, I think it's about a relationship who started out sweet but somewhere in the middle, things suddenly and unexpectedly happened and it ended like a nightmare. Probably a tragic love that everyone wants to forget and don't want to see again. But he always clings to the the sweet memories.

"Started out like in the movies
But it ended like a bad dream
Curtain opened, heard the crowd roar
This one's a repeat, seen it before
Rewind to the start before it all went wrong
    What's going on?
Fast forward to the end, after everyone's gone home, oh
    And they've forgotten it all"

This isn't the relationship he wanted. He wants to end it before it's too late but can't. He's trapped in all confusing feelings. He tried his best to salvage this relationship. But It came to point where it's 'too' late.

"This ain't a movie that I wanna see
A tragic story, starring you and me
Yell "cut", we're stuck inside this scene
This is heartache on the big screen
The clock is ticking, and I'm out of time
The camera's rolling, and I forgot my lines
My script is ripped and now I see
This is heartache on the big screen"

My interpretation for this part is that someday he wants someone to see him and love him for who he really are and when that time comes, he'll get the happy ending of the main character.

"If Hollywood could see me now
    I'd get the starring role
But they won't so I'll just keep on acting a fool"

The second part of this was probably the song, "Independence Day."

It is about two people on a relationship and it started out great but something happened and it ended terribly.

"This ain't a movie that I wanna see
A tragic story starring you and me
Yell cut we're stuck in side this scence
This is heartache on the big screen
The clock is ticking and I'm out of time
The cameras rolling and I forgot my lines
My script is ripped and now I see
This is heartache in the big screen"

It's saying that he doesn't want to fight but they can't seem to get over it so yeah... Idk I'm not good at explaining
