   In my head this song is about someone who’s in a relationship that’s kinda broken. But he doesn’t want it to end even if everyone else seems to be hopeless with it. He wants his girl to keep loving him thinking of him highly even if he doesn’t seem to be really meeting the expectations.

   this song sounds like it's a speaker who is built for more than just a one night stand. The speaker is saying they like the high of these one night stands, but the aftermath is bad for them. They really like the person the song is about, but the speaker is built and in need of a committed relationship. The speaker needs to stop letting themselves down by just going for hookups and find something real for their own mental health.

   This song, to me, talks about a relationship that ended and one party is missing the feeling that bliss and joy, or feeling 'high'. "waking up in different spaces...built to last more than a night." talking (I assume) about one night stands where there is not a real connection between the parties involved, meaning there is no feeling of that high talked so much about from the protagonist's relationship. In the chorus bringing in the reference to being High, I personally believe high is not meaning substances but meaning being in that state of mind where everything is so perfect and so happy it feels like you are under some influence. In Verse 2 it says "Ill never meet your expectations.." talking about how this partnership has created a facade of the protagonist of what isn't reality.
   In short from my perspective, this is a song about that feeling of bliss and happiness, being represented as feeling high, and this song express' the feeling of emptiness after that high is no more.

   For my interpretation I think the song high means that somebody/Person is in love with a girl and is trying to impress her, hoping she thinks of him high, Even though she is with somebody else. So I mainly think it is about this guy trying to attract a girl and date her. Oh and also this is just a guess, I dont really know what it is about.
