10,000 Fists Lyrics

Survivor
Survivor

One more goddamn day when I know what I want
And my want will be considered tonight, considered tonight
Just another day when all that I want
Will mark me as a sinner tonight, I'm a sinner tonight,...

This song has two potential meanings.

The first one is about how people need to stand up for their rights, or for whats right, against wrong. 10,000 people throwing their fist in the air for what they believe.

The second, more likely meaning is about the euphoria one experiences when attending their first concert. The epic feel of seeing 10,000 people with their fists in the air.

Meant to signify unity and strength, the kind of elation and power that can be felt at a momentous rock show. It's speaking to the nonbelievers: You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of ten thousand fists in the air.

Its about the the strength of the masses united, and that the true leaders of this country should(The people) should lead and rise above the fallacy of political leaders, and as a democrasy belittle the goverments influence.(Over the people atleast). Basically it's all about getting your word out to the goverment and the stength of an amass of the people.

Talking about being what he wants will be considered to might and it will make him a dinner tonight and that pleasure fuses with pain combine with the main chorus makes me think that a guy was raping someone and the 10000 fists in the air is a non of people who couldn't take it and they had enough so they stood their ground against this bad person who was a rapist.

I always tended to assume that this album is about the popular reaction in the United States immediately following the events of the twin towers. Deify starts with an address to the United Nations by George Bush and there's a definite underlying message of victimhood and violent retribution. The destruction and utter destruction of Iraq and the levelling of the kashgar mountains shows a nation stricken and overburdened but very much saying that I'm alive.
Although I'm not convinced of Draimen's intellectual capacity considering he never completed secondary school so it's possible I'm reading too much into things aha

This song to me is about how our generation has sat back far too long and watched everyone else make the decisions for us. We don't vote we always believe what we are told and the government plays us like puppets. Society as a whole it stupid. But if we quick letting every one else vote for us and make the decisions the government will be meet with 10,000 fist no longer letting them rule as they see fit. Power in numbers. We are strong when we come together and fight. Look Into "Deify" to get a better picture on where he stands.
So do I. Our generation has to answer for our own Decadence" look it up.

i believe it could be deticated to the thousands of Disturbed fans around the world, Simutaniously raising their fists in the air, supporting the band.

but it could also be interpreted as a protesting song. 10,000 fists in the air against everything wrong with the world, saying that they will not stand for it, and will refuse to back off untill it is resolved.

This song is about people that stand for a cause. It's about people united together, and about never backing down when you really believe in something. The 10000 fists are the people that want a change.

It's about the feeling the band gets when they're preforming and they see the crowd throwing ten thousand fists into the air.

I believe as many others that the song means rebellion against oppression, war and the society of this world saying that people won't stand for it forever

I am a huge fan of Disturbed and i think 10,000 Fists was their most politically oriented album. As Land Of Confusion Deify and 10,000 Fists. I believe its about threatening our leaders with revolution. Our politicians continue to depart from their constituents. And revolution is packaged into the verses..(you will remember the night when you were struck by the sight of 10,000 fists in the air) and the lines of (people can no longer cover their eyes) and so on and revolution returns when they say (power unrestrained dead on the mark is what we will deliver tonight) Thats my opinion n it but im a political guy so....thats just my interpretation and a good band will leave some songs open to individual interpretation and Disturbed is a very good band

i think he's talking directly to the government: one more... day when i know what i want and my want WILL be considered tonight. He's saying that the people in charge wil remember the rally of the citizens and never try to cross us again:You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of 10000 in air.

does anyone of you really KNOW what it means?? it's very important to me 'cause I don't want to support a band which finds pleasure in writing songs that describe BDSM or something like that.

You all are all kinda sorta right it's about them and thier music rallying people to go against all that's sick and wrong in this world to fight back and that as in a concert that feeling of so many united can be used as a weapon in going against the gov etc etc

I believe this song is very much about BDSM or other alternative lifestyles. Pleasure fused with pain, this triumph of the soul will make you shiver tonight. It speaks of a headspace that a submissive would find themselves in, and yes it feels very euphoric, like you've made a major triumph. And as a submissive it is a triumph over your own soul and fears. You relinquish control so thoroughly. Inside the first verse: just another day when all that I want will mark me as a sinner tonight. I'm a sinner tonight. Fairly self explanatory. People who enjoy alternative lifestyles have constantly been called amoral, sinful and heathen. Ten thousand fists is showing support and showing unity and saying that we won't hide. People can no longer cover their eyes, if this disturbs you, then walk away. It is a statement to tell any who would disagree with the lidestyle that they don't need to be involved they can walk away. That there are enough people to warrant respect for our lifestyles now. Thats my take in any case.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
