The Game Lyrics

Tell me exactly
what am I supposed to do?
Now that I have
allowed you to beat me!
Do you think that
we could play another game?
Maybe I can win this time?
I kind of like
the misery you put me through.
Darling, you can trust...

According to David, being a quote from him, this song is "speaking about the manipulative nature of most people. That you should be cautious when playing with another person's emotions or someone may make you accountable at some point in time."

THE GAME, I think, is about a guy who's had enough of someone else messing around with his emotions.

He's finally had enough, and in his fury, he snaps.

I won't contradict David's explanation. But I will say that for me, this was the ravings of an abuser who wouldn't believe the woman's story. She was subjected to his hate and anger. He won't believe her no matter what she says. Jealousy and uncontrolled rage fueled his demonic abuse.

I think it's just what David said. A song about playing with emotions to the point of someone having enough of it.

I think that this goes very close to the plot line of the most dangerous game it almost fits it perfectly.

My son who just turned 2 knows how to sing this song. He knows how to read his ahalpbet at 22 months and this song, with the nice tune , just taught him more about ahalpbets.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I think it says never screw with someone's emotions or they'll snap and hurt you.

Most definitely one of their darkest songs. I think its about a girl messing with his already volatile and dark emotions. She pushes him too far and he snaps its about that simple. Dont let your mom hear you playing this lol

I think it is about someone (the person who the song is being 'narrated' from) taking vengeance ("It doesn't really seem I'm getting through to you
Though I see you weeping so sweetly. I think that you might have to take another taste. A little bit of hell this time!") on someone who has lied to him or her ("The little bitch, she went and she told a lie. And now she will never tell another a lie. The little bitch she went and she told a lie. NEVER FUCKING LIE TO ME!") or beaten him/her by foul means ("Tell me exactly what am I supposed to do. Now that I have allowed you to beat me") and will not do whatever this person beat the other at in a fair fight ("I think that you might have to take another taste. A little bit of hell this time... Run for her life in the battle that ends this day... Run for her life now that she lied to me.").
