Wonderwall Lyrics

By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody

Have you ever tried kissing a wall ???
It feels cold.
I think this song is about a guy that really likes a girl but talking to her is like talking to a wall. She is cold and doesnt pay attention to the dude, but still the dude loves her and think she is a wall. But shes still a wonderful wall -
This song is about life. And god. Its telling you that no one will love you more than god loves you. Telling you that you aren't alone and if you make the RIGHT decisions in life, (decisions that feel right to YOU...and YOU only, that life gets better for you in the future. It's also saying that people that try to direct you through life...can't do as good of a job as you can do on your own. "and all the roads we HAVE to walk are winding, and all the LIGHTS that LEAD us there are BLINDING" It also is telling you to stop wondering if god exists. "and after all, you're my wonderwall" Wonderwall...think about it...It's like a double negative...if you aren't wondering, it can only add to your life...not take away. Stopping the wonder. and the the line..."I said maybe, you're going to be the one that saves me" Its basically telling you to just believe.

I beleive its about a girl he loved but cant trust(the fire in your heart is out), he gave her a second chance but she did wrong by him (today was gunna be the day but they will never throw it back to you, by now you should have some how realised what your not to do). Some one he now dislikes and has pushed out of his life (I dont beleive anyone feels the way i do about you now), but has feelings for still, which is shown in the lines "there are many things i would like to say to you, but i dont know how" and "after all your my wonder wall" while he wants to tell her he hates her he still has feelings for her. His "wonderwall" is a place he goes in his head wondering what she is doing, has done, and will do. "I said maybe your gunna be the one that saves me" is sayin that he will learn from what happened in their relationship and maybe his next love will be much stronger for it.
The Real story is, It's a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself. -
It's about an imaginary friend who's going to come and save you from yourself."
The general consensus is that this song is about Noel Gallagher's then girlfriend Meg Matthews, who is compared with a schoolboy's wall to which posters of footballers and Pop stars are attached. Noel later married then divorced Meg Matthews. However, according to Q magazines 1001 Best Songs Ever, this was not about Matthews. Noel is quoted as saying, "The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it. And how do you tell your Mrs. it's not about her once she's read it is? It's about an imaginary friend who's going to come and save you from yourself."
-
I think this song is made by Liam for Noel, or else..

I interpret this song as no love song at all. Instead, the song is about none other than yourself. However, the person singing is losing himself. He's looked down upon, and probably makes a lot of bad decisions and is generally not happy of himself. However, he realises that when he himself is the problem, he is also his own saviour. But while realising that the problem lies with yourself seems pretty easy, how do you tell yourself to change? How do you say those many bad things to yourself so you could truly understand them? Change can be a tough thing to do. Truly there is no other person that thinks the same way about him.
The fire in the heart going out implies that the person is not what he used to be. No matter how many mistakes you make, there is but one person that, maybe, can truly save you. You. -
My interpretation is that the singer is trying very hard to hate someone because the singer feels the person he is singing about has done more harm than good. The person he is singing about is facing a problem and is discouraged, and the singer is glad. But the singer also realizes that he doesn't hate the person and the the person has more influence in his life than he'd like to admit.
-
A song can mean anything to anyone - no one is right or wrong - My interpretation is that you only get one life, and although life has its ups and downs there is always someone there for you share it with. This could be a loved one or a lover but the point is that this one person will always be there to guide you, show you impartial love and ultimately be your Wonderwall and guide you through the good and bad.
When i think of Wonderwall I think of my Grandfather. -
**Today is gonna be the day
that they're gonna throw it back to you (me
by now you should've somehow
realized what you gotta do
i don't believe that anybody
feels the way I do about you now**
in my opinion the song's about a couple. The girl cheated him/ did not behave right, their friends found out and he thinks that they will scold her. He's a bit angry and thinks that by now his girlfriend should know how to behave right in their relationship. nonetheless she's the most important thing for him.
**backbeat the word was on the street
that the fire in your heart is out
i'm sure you've heard it all before
but you never really had a doubt
i don't believe that anybody feels
the way I do about you now**
there's a rumour that she doesn't love him anymore, but she doesn't take it very seriously - she probably has an affair/ doesn't spend enough time with him, but has no doubts that she still loves him.
**and all the roads we have to walk along are winding
and all the lights that lead us there are blinding
there are many things that I would
like to say to you
i don't know how
because maybe
you're gonna be the one who saves me
and after all
you're my wonderwall**
the roads and the lights describe the difficulty and the ups and downs of their relationship, he is somehow angry at her because he thinks she doesn't behave right - but he doesn't know if/how he should tell her because maybe in the end, everything will be right anyway, maybe he'll need her one day, maybe everything will soon be back to normal etc. and he just doesn't want to scare her away with his words
**today was gonna be the day
but they'll never throw it back to you
by now you should've somehow
realized what you're not to do
i don't believe that anybody
feels the way I do
about you now**
well their friends didn't criticise/reprimand her, in fact she seems to be a bit of a girl who can get away with everything if she just smiles and stuff. He's again angry because no one seems to be realizing what he's going through. but again he still loves her more than everything else.
**and all the roads that lead to you were winding
and all the lights that light the way are blinding
there are many things that I would like to say to you
i don't know how
i said maybe
you're gonna be the one who saves me
and after all
you're my wonderwall
i said maybe
you're gonna be the one who saves me
and after all
you're my wonderwall
i said maybe
you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me**
in the end he keeps repeating those lines because he's full of hope that everything's going to sort out soon/ he'll find out that she's as much in love with him as he is with her/ everything's gonna be alright.
well I just wanted to see a sense behind this song so I chose this because for me it makes the most sense :) -
I think that this song is about a man who has had certain problems, may be with addiction. I think his wonderwall is a person who has saved him in the past. through out the entire song, he uses the words maybe, like he doesn't know what the outcome will be. He knows his life is going down hill and he thinks that this person might help him again. In the end, the changes in dynamics and pitch simulate and ambulance. I think that he was hoping that his life was going to be saved by this person and it wasn't so in the end it resulted in injury, maybe an overdose.
-
For me this song is about a boy and a girl who are in love and the boy is telling her that nobody will care for her as much as he does - "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now."

Wonderwall is one of the greatest oasis songs, containing the finest lyrics by Noel and some awesome vocals from Liam.
It's about a guy who is deeply in love with a girl and decides to express his love to her and so the line goes "Today is gonna be the day, that they are gonna throw it back to you.By now you should have somehow realized what you got to do".
Then as the melody begins he starts his journey to tell her and which is by now known to most people. He knows he loves her more then anyone else which can be stated by verse "Back beat the word is on the street that the fire in tour heart is out........I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now."
He meets her but he fails to say what he really wants to and ends up saying something else thinking he will get another chance.
Then there is brief stop of all tunes, and the second part begins.
In the second part he laments of out he missed the perfect chance to express his love and he does not know whether he will ever get a chance again which can be seen in the lines "Today is gonna be the day,but they will never throw it back to you.By now you should have somehow realized what you're not to do".
He then reminds himself of the fact that he cares for her more than anyone else.
The song ends in a lighter note with the guy knowing that he will get another chance and when he does he will do what he has to and the fact that the girl is what he wants in his life.
"Cause maybe you gonna be the one that saves me,and after all you're my Wonderwall" -
This song was written by Noël Gallagher, the performer is Liam Gallagher.
Noël has written this song with the meaning that the person in the lyrics was an imaginary friend. I think that he means a person to be more exactly a girl. The girl is someone who loves her life but she don't think about all the consequences of the things that she does.
When you see Liam sing it or Noël sing it, than the difference is clear. With Noël you get the feeling that it's all so real. I write songs by myself and your own songs that are the songs where you can put the ' feeling ' in. -
the song is actually written by NOEL GALLAGHER. he wrote this song while he was going through his divorce. This song is a lot more intimate when he sings it because he put so much meaning into it. He said that at the time of the divorce.. he was writing a song for the girl to come and help him out.

It's about someone who is in love with someone else, someone else who did some really awful, terrible things in their life - that would make most people in the world want to disown them, hurt them, maybe even kill them. But to this someone, who's singing, that person has always been and always will be their source of happiness, and they are the only person who can see the good in that person. Even though they've been apart for a very long time.
The someone singing is trying to get out of a very bad situation, something all-consuming and terrifying, that until they saw that someone else again, was easy to deny. Now that this someone else is back in their life, there's no turning back to denial and repression. The someone singing sees through everything that everyone else can't get past about the other someone.
After finally finding something tangible to hold and feel and see that makes the denial disappear, the someone else is all that person has... and the only thing that can save them from themself.
