I agree with the person who wrote out all the lyrics to the song. This is a great song, and "Wonderwall" means the girl, that know matter how much you may hate her at one point, she has that mysterious part to her, that makes you wanna go for it with her. To make a long story short, I recently had a talk with one my bestfriends and after we finished, I played this song, and told her that the song pretty much summed up how I felt about her.

Wonderwall is the title of a 1968 movie for which George Harrison composed the soundtrack. The story of the film revolves around a reclusive, eccentric scientist Oscar Collins whose next-door neighbors are a pop photographer and his girlfriend/model named Penny Lane. Discovering a beam of light streaming through a hole in the wall between them, Collins follows the light and spots Penny modeling for a photo shoot. Intrigued, he begins to make more holes, as days go by and they do more photo sessions. Oscar gradually becomes infatuated with the girl, and feels a part of the couple's lives, even forsaking work to observe them. When they quarrel and the couple split, Penny takes an overdose of pills and passes out, and Oscar tries to come to her rescue. Noel Gallagher claims that the song was not about Meg Mathews at all, but he felt he had to go along with the rumor, saying "The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it. How do you tell your Mrs it's not about her once she's read it is? It's a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself." I believe Noel.

I think well I'm sure that I saw an answer from the chief he said that the reason for the word was liam so. I believe when people says noel written that because he wanted see his bro so happy and clear almost all the time but we know that didn't happen anyway its a wonderful song and I'm that the gallagher bros would dedicate that song to lennon I'm pretty sure ´bout that man

I always thought this song was about going to take a chance. And then missing that chance, and the song is the "many things" he can't say to her but he doesn't know how sorta thing like yah, better explanation in order:
the first verse I thought meant like getting yourself all pumped up for telling someone you love them and that they're the one and that. And you know in your head exactly what to say and how to say it and then its like he knows that he's suppose to say and that ("by now you should've some how realized what you gotta do") and he's saying that he loves her more than anyone else, "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now". I thought the "fire" was suppose to represent happiness in her heart. And how he's saying how she's not as happy as she once was.
Then the roads winding is suppose to represent their future together and even though they're going through a hard time it was all going to work out in the end. Then he says he has so many things he has to say to her but he doesn't know how because he's too nervous and I thought that was what the chorus was.
Then the chorus goes on as maybe he's going to save him through her strength and their love, and he was her wonderwall, meaning that she was the wall that blocks him from the all of the wonders and curiosity and that she sort of satisfied that because they were to face it together.
Then the second verse I always thought was him blowing his chance because he knew what to say but then he did something wrong or said something wrong "realized what your not to do" then the chorus comes again. And yah. This song is engenius! Honestly its really easy to relate to.
Today is gonna be the day
that they're gonna throw it back to you (me
by now you should've somehow
realized what you gotta do
i don't believe that anybody
feels the way I do about you now
backbeat the word was on the street
that the fire in your heart is out
i'm sure you've heard it all before
but you never really had a doubt
i don't believe that anybody feels
the way I do about you now
and all the roads we have to walk along are winding
and all the lights that lead us there are blinding
there are many things that I would
like to say to you
i don't know how
because maybe
you're gonna be the one who saves me
and after all
you're my wonderwall
today was gonna be the day
but they'll never throw it back to you
by now you should've somehow
realized what you're not to do
i don't believe that anybody
feels the way I do
about you now
and all the roads that lead to you were winding
and all the lights that light the way are blinding
there are many things that I would like to say to you
i don't know how
i said maybe
you're gonna be the one who saves me
and after all
you're my wonderwall
i said maybe
you're gonna be the one who saves me
and after all
you're my wonderwall
i said maybe
you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me -
A great love song for the one he needs. For example, "Because maybe you're gonna be the one who saves me/and after all you're my wonderwall" clearly states that he
is in love with this person. It also reflects in the song that he is the only person that feels that way about her. -
I don't think we are giving Noel Gallagher enough credit here. YES he's constructed one of the greatest love songs of all time without using the word love. But that can't possibly be his only intention, or even his deepest intention. We all know that the gallagher brothers (especially liam) have an obsession with the beatles, theyve covered almost every song written by the beatles, but then they come across this song by the beatles entitled wonderwall, not a well known song, infact most people skip this song because its just a bunch of random noises and effects (similar to the swamp song that oasis throws in every now and then on their cds) this song "wonderwall" can't be covered, so it pokes out like a soar thumb to noel. While trying to understand the song, he realizes that Harrison (the writer of wonderwall) was just throwing down music and recording it because its his love, his love is to just hear, play, record music. Hence, to noel, the title wonderwall grew into a significant word to him. The thing that you just fall in love with and can take a break from reality and spend time with. everyone has a wonderwall, whether it be music, a woman, drawing, painting, ect ect... So why not write a song about it?!

The song is referring to Noel's wife left him because of his drug addiction, she left him while Oasis was on tour, "Back beat the Word is on the street is that the fire in your eye is out" When she left him he stopped using drugs. "Maybe you're gonna be the one that saves me and afterall your my wonderwall" at the end the birds chirping is a reflection of him and his wife's love for birds.

I think the song is about someone who is about to be judged or put to the test by some people (1st stanza). The person is singing it to a close friend, his wonderwall, someone who inspires him and that he cares for deeply. The friend has just broken up with someone ("fire in your heart is out")maybe she was cheated on (?). She's a little confused about what to do next (And all the roads we have to walk along are winding, And all the lights that lead us there are blinding )At the same time, the person doesn't want to tell her how he feels about her because it might drive her away or he doesn't know how to tell her. The last stanza plays with the words of the original but makes it past, so that means something has happenned in the testing or the judging. The friend knows what NOT to do next time and the people who tested her know never again to test her so she either stood up for herself or reacted violently or something. Regardless, the singer still cares for the friend deeply and thinks that "maybe [she's] gonna be the one that saves [him]."

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Its about someone that was left behind by someone that they loved and truely cared for(their wonderwall) and they're afraid to tell them how they really feel because they're afraid of losing them even more. Or at least that's how I feel when I listen to the song. But it doesn't really have to have one specific meaning does it, can;t it just mean what you feel when you hear it?

We can all agree with this song. All of us have a wonderwall who keeps us going. -
Has to be one of the gratest songs ever written. it was Written by Noel Gallagher for his ex, who had just lost her job and was feeling down.
A wonderwall can be anything that makes you happy and brightens up your day:
"Because maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me?
And after all
You're my wonderwall"
