5 Seconds of Summer: Youngblood Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Youngblood Lyrics
Surrender my everything 'cause you made me believe you’re mine
Yeah, you used to call me baby, now you're calling me by name
Takes one to know one, yeah, you beat me at my own damn...

I think the girl portays his drug and hes addicted but everytime he tries to quit (she) calls for him so his life is coming to an end because the drug kills him. She isnt really there because in the song she keeps fading...Hes losing his high. Hes on drugs and cant quit. Thats why he says im just a dead man walking tonight.

In my opinion youngblood is about a really toxic relationship about to people who are constantly torn between staying together and searching for "youngblood" and adrenaline while still loving each other very much. Although I think the protagonist was like this befor the other partie

I believe this song is about an old couple who have been together for decades but now their memory is failing, dementia has set in. Remember the words you told me... love me till the day I die I believe refers to When they married. You used call me baby now you call me by name... takes one to know one. He is the same. Alzimeirs ... the memories of love and marriage have gone.. they don’t remember everything. Young blood is the tablet they take to take them back to their youth when they were in their prime...love the video

I think it refers to the singer/songwritewr wring about an affair or relationship with an older woman....hence you want some young blood. He is in love with her but she is undecided and maybe thinks he's falling too deep for her
-
He can't walk away in the toxic relationship and he needs her. I think 'young blood' here refers to the adrenaline and feels they get when they are with each other. And the protagonist needs it

The above stated is correct, about a toxic relationship. The push and pull; give and you take.
Narcissism is impled; in the sense "beat at my own game" perhaps two beautiful narcissists in a toxic push/pull relationship.
Youngblood just means a young person, full of life, energy.
Race is not important or implied in the case of this song. -
I believe it means many things. But in my understanding its about a toxic relationship. They break up and they keep on getting back together. The girl then finds someone new that's why he said "So who've you been calling baby?" And the reason I think they keep breaking up & getting back together is because he says "Latley are conversations end like its the last goodbye.' That's just what I think.

Young blood is refers to a young MALE, typically black or native American (aka yound buck), inexperienced yet full of life and raring to go. He sings about a hot-or-cold type relationship with a young blood in which he is powerless to walk away from even though he knows its gonna end badly (dead man walking/crawling).
-
I think it’s about a toxic relationship, I mean, “Youngblood” refers to the girl and how the boy wants to get over her but at the same time needs her.
