Songs about Afterlife
Can you hope to be a ghost, at most? If that is so, who'll be your host? Will you end in heaven, or in hell? It's up to beliefs - who can tell?
These songs explore what happens after we die, a topic largely unexplored by even the most studious of researchers, none of whom have been able to send word back from beyond the dark curtain. But we'll argue about it all day long anyway. Some folks think you're due for a halo and wings, or 37 virgins, or eternal bliss in meditation, or even to come back as a flying spaghetti monster. No, really, that last one's a thing, Google it.

I Will Follow You Into The Dark Death Cab For Cutie
"If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark" -

Release your life
Take your place inside the fire with her" -

Old Rivers Walter Brennan
Now, one of these days
I'm gonna climb that mountain
Walk up there amoung the clouds
Where the cotton's high
And the corn's a-growin'
And there ain't no fields to plow. -

Seven Minutes In Heaven Reba McEntire
If I had seven minutes in Heaven
I know just what I'd do
Take a walk down those golden streets
And find a quiet corner booth
I wouldn't spend all my seconds asking God questions
'Cause He knows I'd be back soon
If I had seven minutes in Heaven
I'd spend them all with you -
Stairway To Heaven Led Zeppelin
"And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven" -
