Within Temptation: A Demon's Fate Meaning
A Demon's Fate Lyrics
Seeing the violence
It's speeding my mind
No one is saving you
How can you find
A heaven in this hell?
Leave it behind
Hearing your silence
It screams our goodbye
Cannot believe it's an eye for an eye
Let us go...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:it really reminds me of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader from Star Wars, i mean the part
What have you done?
Is this what you wanted?
What have you become?
Your soul's now forsaken
You're walking alone
From heaven into hell
Now that you know
Your way in this madness
Your powers have grown
Your chains have been broken
You've suffered so long
You will never change.
really reminds of him, when he becomes a Sith warrior, but cannot turn behind any more. The worst is, that we did that on his own and cannot blame anyone about his fall.
When the shadows remain in the light of day
On the wings of darkness he'll retaliate
He'll be fallen from grace
Until the end of all his days
From the ashes and hate
It's a cruel demon's fate
On the wings of darkness
He's returned to stay
There will be no escape
Cause he's fallen far from grace
Well, this is very similar to his fate. am I the only one, who think so? -
A kind man became a dictator of a country or civilization and turned from kind and goodhearted to cruel and selfish.
"He's fallen far from grace...
What have you become?
His soul's not forsaken
You're walking alone
From heaven into hell"
Under his rule, the people are in a living hell.
"How can you find
A heaven in this hell?"
The people still have hope and faith that they would be saved someday and that the dictator would have a well-deserved punishment, which he does.
"Angels have faith...
When the shadows remain in the light of day
On the wings of darkness he'll retaliate
He'll be falling from grace
Till the end of all his days
From the ashes of hate
It's a cruel demon's fate
On the wings of darkness
He's returned to stay
There will be no escape
'Cause he's fallen far from grace" -
This reminds me of Erik Destler (from the phantom of the opera) He could have lived like a functioning human being (though that's quite impossible because of his past.) he went from being Christine's angel to the murderer she feared
-
its about the fall of lucifer and the rest angels that followed him and became demons.
"What have you done?
Is this what you wanted?
What have you become?"
God made him the most brilliant and powerfull angel and he wanted to be greater than God. Then God throwed him down.
"You will never change..
He'll be fallen from grace
Until the end of all his days"
devil dont want to regret for his sin and so he will be going on until the last day -
it is about the fall of lucifer... god gave his angels a simple, straight-forward law to follow that said, "you must love humans more than God himself"... well lucifer did not follow this law and loved god and hated humans. god turned him into the demon he was and is to be forever, created an underworld called Hell and sent 'lucifer the demon' there. the entire story i'm refering to is too long to post here and there are many stories about the fall of lucifer... the one i refer to is the one i like and am most informed about.

it seems to be written about V from "V for vendetta"
