Thats Why in The song when he says everybody come take my hand will walk this road together through the storms whatever weather, cold or warm to let you know that your not alone. He is talking about the illuminati especially when he is saying the "relapse cd was ehh" since he did not write this album the illuminati did and also when he says "relax i aint going back to that now" and doing the pyramid symbol symbolising he is getting out of the illuminati. The song is about him changing his life around. making up for all the shit he's done to himself and his family.
the demons he refers to is the drugs. He also stats that he realizes that his relapse album wasn't that good.
He then goes on to explain that he's no longer gonna listen to the critics and start being there for Hailey and Laney.
Eventually eminem is gonna retire from rap because he doesn't want to deal with all the shit. -
I strongly agree that he is talking about illuminati. When he talk about exercising these demons and how they are sitting back and doing jumping jacks. I think he is referring to the people who are behind the illuminati. I believe he is trying to tell us that its time for us to WAKE UP!!! Look up the illuminati up. I think it's a great song about him taking a stand on his life.. Getting clean, Being there for his kids, Not falling back into the drama life of everything he went through when he was younger and becoming a celebrity. He had to hit rock bottom before he could realize it and get to where he is now.

Awsome! I hope he has faced those demons that he talks about and can be the person he wants to be for his girls and for himself.
I also agree with the other posts he is trying to let people know they are NOT alone and they too can get through this and that he will be there for his fans and put everything he has into his music unlike the last record:

we all know about Marshall Matters life, and history, and for me to understand the song "not afraid" is to learn that he's tired of his old life, mistake and dark past. he wants a new shot at life, for his kids, his future, rapping for Eminem is like writting a poem for a poete. its his way to express himself towards himself, his fans and daughters. and what he's doing is mature and best for everyone, especially his career
