Eminem: Not Afraid Meaning
Song Released: 2010
Not Afraid Lyrics
I’m not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
Let's walk together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you’re not alone
Holla if you feel like you’ve been down the same...
-
He talks bout being in detox. Duhhh people! He wants to stop drugs for his daughter.
-
*cough*
Illuminati? Possibly. But he's talking about Lil Wayne here guys. Lil wayne is"married to the game" as he says in a lot of his songs. Theres more, but here: look at the lyrics here; and the lyrics lil wayne say inthe song "No love". Similarity? -
screw the NWO
to the people who believe the NWO crap if lies help you sleep at night thats fine
to NWO believers do you believe Love The Way you lie was a sibliminal message to NWO about how the "NWO" promised him a career shot at 17 but he never got it? he made it his own way.
Remember eminems movie 8 mile? he fought againt them why would he join them?
this song is his apogizing for his early career when he was making bad choices that affected his music his family his fans his aler-ego Slim Shady. Laney and Haley are getting older and Eminem Realizes that and he understands 3/4ths of his music isnt good for his girls to hear and hes changing that. -
You lot are all soo fuckin stupid!!! He hasn;t got an addiction to alcohol so I dont know what half of ya'll are chattin about and he is not and I repeat not talkin about illuminaties, hes fuckin talkin about his addiction to drugs!! stupid people!!!.
-
This song is obviously about him getting over his drug obsession, and don't say it's not.... look at the intro, he's happy he's out and he's ready to help you too. "This f-cking black cloud’s still follow’s me around
But it’s time to exorcise these demons" the "black cloud" is that he took drugs, and he's ready to put it behind him. This line makes it extremely obvious "It was my decision to get clean". GET CLEAN people he chose to do this! and now he wants to help people in the same position he was in get out. -
if you think about it, there is somethinrnge going strange going on in this music industry, to a lot of people it sounds asif he wants to better his life and wants to get off drugs etc. But if you read some lines you just can't help but to wonder its being directed at illuminati, we as people are going to be naïve and why sodnt we bcoz we can't see nothing, but its a bit funny how all these symbolism in music are nw appearing and how there a lot of double meaning in music. The main few lines for me that got me thinking was 'gift is a curse', 'you lied through your teeth' he can't be talking about drugs there, and listen to also no love ft lil wayne that surely can't be aimed at a woman its to dark
-
He is not fuckin talkin about Illuminatis you stupid next level fuckin people. Go get a life! Eminem doesn't give a shit about anyone apart from his daughter Haille so do yourself a favor and don't talk about him you motherfuckers!!!!!!!
-
You can't be serious?! How the f*ck is this song about the "Illumanti"?! Do you people even KNOW what the illmunati is? It's a new world order group! EMINEM IS NOT IN NO DAMED NEW WORLD ORDER GROUP! I personally believe that this song is about him saying:
"I’m not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We’ll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you’re not alone
Holla if you feel like you’ve been down the same road" as simple as that. -
At the Detroit concerts on labor day of 2010 Eminem said he wrote this song for Proof and thanked him for everything he has done. It's not about his daughters, it's about his best friend who helped him through the tough times then was tragically murdered.
-
i disagree if hes doing the pyramid symbol it does not symbolize him getting out of the illuminati, thats actually just a symbol of the illuminati , also found on the back of a dollar bill with the all seeing eye in the triangle at the top of the pyrimid. so u saying that if he holds up the triangle hes leaving then is jay z ? i mean hes always held it up and hes deffinitly illuminati

This song is bout change. About how bad he had his life and when he left (the break that no one heard from him) he was talking time to become better and be there for his family. I believe he wrote this song to explain that he's "NOT AFRAID" to become who he was meant to be.
-
I agree that it has to do with him wanting to spend time with his family and stop being so focused on his career. He's not afraid to take a stand against all the fans who will be angry at him when he quits rapping. I also think he compares himself with Lebron since he says stuff like "you said you was king" and because he talks like he's being real arrogant. I think some parts refer to his drug addiction but him wanting to quit caring mostly about rapping and being with his family is the core of the song.
-
"Lose yourself" was about him joining the illuminati and "Not Afraid" refers to him breaking away from it. Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Biggie, and Tupac have wrote anti-illuminati songs and have died shortly after. Open your eyes.

Opiate addiction. End of story.
