Katy Perry: Hot N Cold Meaning
Song Released: 2008
Hot N Cold Lyrics
Yeah, you PMS like a bitch, I would know,
And you always think, always speak critically,
I should know, that you're no good for me,
CHORUS
'Coz you're hot then you're cold,
you're yes then...

#1 top rated interpretation:It's about an indecisive boy who can't decide on anything in their relationship. I think he kept breaking up with her and then wanting to get back together repeatedly
Verse one -
"you change your mind like a girl changes clothes" is pretty self explanatory, the typical girl changes outfits alot, so he changes his mind alot
"you PMS like a b*tch I would know" he's grumpy and moody all the time, just like a girl on her period would be.
"you always think, always speak critically" means that he always has a negative outlook, and always criticizes her
"I should know that your no good for me" pretty self explanatory, she should know better, but she doesn't.
Chorus - basically saying that he's indecisive and can't decide on whether go stay or go,
Verse two-
"we used to be just like twins, so in sync" is saying that once upon a time, he used to be her perfect match, and they were made to be together"
"the same energy, Nows a dead battery" is saying that now, hes changed and the chemistry is starting to die out.
"used to laugh, bout nothing, now your plain boring" is saying that they used to be really close, but now he's changing and is boring
"I should know that your not gonna change" she should know that he will always be indecisive, but a part of her hopes he will change
Verse three -
"someone, call the doctor, got a case of a love bi-polar" a bi-polar is typically a person with two different personalities, so in this case, he has two different love personalities: "I love you" and "I don't wanna be with you"
"stuck on a rollercoaster and I can't get off this ride" a roller coaster normally had alot of ups and downs, so she's stuck on a 'love rollercoaster', so to speak; shes in a relationship with alot of ups and downs, but she cant get over him (can't get off this ride) -

#2 top rated interpretation:This song is pretty simple
when me and my ex were going out people at school would say it's about us
its basically katy talking about a bf/ex... Saying that they used to be amazing 'we used to be just like twins so insync'
but now he's all over the place and doesn't know what he wants (the chorus) 'we right we break up we kiss we make up' they are all over the place and don't know what they want in each other
he changes his mind too much for her to handle -
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:It's about how someone's (probably a boyfriend) so indecisive, like when she says, "You changed your mind, like a girl changes clothes" and girls changes clothes a lot, and also whe she says "You're hot and your cold. You're yes and you're no. You're in and your out. You're up and you're down. You're wrong when it's right. You're black and it's white. We fight, we break up. We kiss, we make up.". And the song is talking about also that because her boyfriend is so indecisive, he used to want her at first but now he doesn't.

Kate pretty much gives out that she's talking about female menstruation in the very first verse. She addresses it directly: "Yes, you, PMS".
The song speaks about the emotional up and downs during menstruation due to the hormonal storm females go thought during that time of the month.

This fanatical song by cult singer song writer Katy Perry finds the villainous Perry and her mother, Queen Perry, attacking the human race from their frigid fortress. Creating mass destruction with huge glaciers, Perry and Queen Perry incur the wrath of Harambe, a warrior whose entire village was destroyed by ice and men with guns. When Harambe underlings kidnap the beautiful Queen Perry, The fcc sets out to rescue her, assisted by the fbi and enigmatic mecha Hitler.
Also dinosaurs
and sweater kittens, lots and lots of sweater kittens. -

The interpretation is very simple. The guy she sings about is a major jerk.. to put it nice. Just read the lyrics he's so hot and cold clearly referencing someone with a PD. No one can relate to him even if they try, he'll never let them. So he never will have any solid relationships in life. I guess it's a good thing she decides not to marry him. Now she knows she must stay away from him. Enough is enough with your roller coaster. Come back when your not so phony.

This song is about a partner who has a personality disorder. She even mentions bi-polar. It could be a range of personality disorders. Probably borderline, bi polar, narcissism. I used to go out with a walking personality disorder and this song is so accurate in describing his behaviour, that it could be his anthem.

This is about a girl loving a guy so
much she wants to marry him (notice in Seasame street and just dance 1, she's dressed like a bride) but he's unsure and he's draging his feet and won't decide. She's starting to consider leaving. -
It's about a girl and a boy who used to be two peas in a pod, so to speak, meaning that they were always together, had inside jokes, knew each other inside out, and were perfect for each other. Then, suddenly he can't seems to decide what he wants, whether to keep her or dump her, so he settles for doing both.
-
It's about a guy who keeps on changing his mind. First you like me then you don't ex. I think Katy Perry is trying to say,"Dude, make up your mind!
