Katy Perry: Bon Appetit Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Bon Appetit Lyrics
All that you can have, boy
Got me spread like a buffet
Bon appétit, baby
Appetite for seduction
Fresh out the oven
Melt in your mouth kind of lovin’
Bon appétit, baby
Looks like you’ve been...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:This whole song is a euphemism for sexual activity- She is singing about being 'eaten out'.
"Cause I'm all that you want, boy" Reflects that the man wants to fuck her.
"Got me spread like a buffet" is a reference to her 'spreading her legs' and having a man 'eat/lick' her pussy.
She makes multiple references about things being in mouths, and it's clear that food is only an euphemism.
Katy makes this all clear when she sings: "Eat with your hands, fine. I'm on the menu"- She is being EATEN.
The sexual tone of the song, implies that she is aroused ("Appetite for seduction") and seeking sexual pleasure from a man.
Moving on, "So you want some more Well, I'm open 24
Wanna keep you satisfied" suggests that the man now wants to engage in sexual intercourse now that the foreplay is over and so does Katy (horny slut, right?)
This comes to a climax (literally lmao) when:
"Hope you've got some room
For the world's best cherry pie
Gonna hit that sweet tooth, boy"
Cherry pie could refer to her vagina, or it could refer to a "cream pie". Hitting that sweet tooth is a reflection of him hitting her "g-spot"
This is kinda long so I guess I'll sum it up:
This song is about the sexual desire that is similar to ravenousness for food. She is preparing herself like one would prepare a delicious meal for her partner to enjoy. -

#2 top rated interpretation:She pretty much just wants the guy to lick her vagina.
-
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:Her interpretation actually means that the guy can "eat her up" which actually means fuck her.

This song is a little weird, I'll admit it but catchy. I think the song is about her sexual desires. When she says,'' You got me spread like a buffet.'' She is talking about having her legs open to a dude so he can do oral. I'm not a genius, that was just my guess.
-
Katy obviously enjoys receiving oral sex, and honestly, who doesn't. It is a song about something she enjoys (a lot!) and I for one would be happy to oblige her! Bon appetite everyone!
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
Undress and lick my pussy and I'll suck your cock is basically what she is saying.
-
Katy is cooking stuff, whoever thought this song is sexual is a little bit dirty minded
-
I think it is about her wanting him to have sex with her
-
Is about a woman feeling secure in her own sexuality, and furthermore this song is about sexual, oral-activity performed unto a heterosexual woman, who seems to love it (which is exactly the same as a man receiving and loving oral/blowjob. Just pointing that out, you know). This song should not be slut-shamed or whatever because it is about a woman exploring her sexual desires, something a lot of women are taught to shy away from among other sexist teachings, (which are not as often taught upon men).
Song could also be compared to music written and performed by men with exactly same meaning, which would (for some meaning) seen as more appropriate. Moreover if you think that "Bon Appetit" is too vulgar and unacceptable, then I would just simply not recommend listening to it. It is only up to you whether you like the song or not. -
This song is just disgusting .. why don't they they make any song without underlying meanings nowadays?.... this song is all about prostitution and how women easily give them selves up without getting to know the person or anything....
-
I did not understand much but i think it is a sarcastic comment on men who judge women on way they dressed an dhow women are just objects(all body no feelings) they own. Also in the end when a pole comes up and she starts dancing and everyone else is blindfolded it could be a indication of that power of any kind is used to repress others and that power is misused for your on pleasure regardless of other's feelings or pain.
OR
She used the concept that sex sells -
It's all about a katy getting a man to eat her pussy and getting ready to get fucked. Why did this song have to be so nasty?
-
When she refers to "Bon Apetit, baby", She is pretty much saying, "have sex with me, take a chance". This song is about her pretty much trying to seduce a man by saying he looks like he wants it and that he can have it.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
It's about eating pussy y'all

What katy was showing us in her video is criticizing how women are still being objectified as Sexual Objectification, there are some men think women are made to be sexy and only sex and they view women as objects of their affection rather than complex people with feelings, wants, and needs of their own.
They are treated almost like empty vessels for men to project their wants and needs into. In Religion, there are women who are taught to be subservient to their husbands; they are viewed as an object for their husbands affection. Many women say that if they are subservient they are in a happy marriage, but I doubt if they are truly happy.
They are taught to do this because of what Eve had done in the garden when she was with Adam.
Another interpretation is about all of us being treated as objects.
People have to be perfect these days, to be "consumed" by the society.
Especially online, people put a lot of effort into a perfect portrait of oneself that is then consumed as entertainment by other people.
Just like food, cooked and dished perfectly, for joy of the guests. Almost like they are serving them a meal of their entertainment for them.
Many people think this video is about "cannibalism" but it isn't about cannibalism at all, they just don't look close enough to understand two different meanings about this song. -
I think she's remaking the MOMAs spirit cooking by Marina Abramovic. In other words, cannabilism and satanic rituals.
