Katy Perry: Firework Meaning
Song Released: 2009
Firework Lyrics
drifting through the wind
wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
like a house of cards,
one blow from caving in?
Do you ever feel already buried deep?
6 feet under screams but no...

#1 top rated interpretation:Fireworks is a very beautiful song that has a very powerful meaning. This song talks about revealing your true self to the world instead of keeping it a secret. It tells us not to be afraid of what we have and who we really are but to be proud of it. The artist is trying to say that we should not be afraid to express who you really are in the inside, and not letting your flaws stop you from having a great life. Fireworks is basically about pride in one’s self and letting your “true colors” show- without worrying about what other people think of you. In other words, the song is basically telling us to be who we are and not what others want us to be. It is also is telling us to embrace our flaws- because they are what makes each one of us unique. We should also be proud of ourselves and stay motivated enough to reach our goals without letting anybody or anything stop us. I also think this song is about living your life like there's no tomorrow, even if you feel like giving up. She is saying that there is always a way to make your way back up, even if you've sunk to the bottom. "You don't have to feel like a wasted space, your original cannot be replaced.” You are your own person, and that person is amazing is their own way. Everything has its reason for being. Throughout the whole song, Katy is trying to comfort us by saying ‘you don’t have to feel like a waste of space, you’re original cannot be replaced’ and this makes an individual feel like there is someone in the world who cares about them and they are consoling them. In the song she says “come on let your colours burst” what she means by this is that we should be our true colours or in other words be our true self and learn to appreciate yourself as you are. Similarly, she is trying to remind us of the light we have within us. No matter if we are old or young, sick or well we should let it sparkle today and let it shine. Moreover, she is trying to show us that we don’t have try to fit in, because we are all individuals and shine on our own, be who you are and be proud of it. Hence, the powerful meaning to this song is one reason why this is a great song.

#2 top rated interpretation:This lovely song means that if you feel unwanted, unappreciated invisible you shouldn't feel sad instead show the world what you got cause we all are like fireworks we're full of light and we should make those who saddened us surprised by showing off you're power of brightness and light to them like a firework. This song shows how related we are to a firework when we stand up to those who are making you sad

“You become the best version of yourself when you know the value of self-love.”-Nitin Namdeo. Even though insecurities are always present, facing and overcoming them is rewarding. Shown in the song “Firework” by Katy Perry, you can conclude that the most important thing in life would be loving yourself.
Overcoming obstacles is the only way to appreciate yourself. Throughout the song “Firework”, it depicts the theme; acceptance is important in achieving self-love. The song shows the struggles that many people deal with regularly. It starts off by describing the pain and hopelessness of the individuals and then expresses how they find the courage and strength to overcome all the insecurities. For example, in S6, L1-3 it says, “You don’t have to feel like a waste of space; You’re original, cannot be replaced; If you only knew what the future holds”. She starts the song expressing the agony and thoughts that some may experience during their life. But, instead of giving up, she persuades them that things will improve if they have the will to change it. Countless individuals face difficulty with self-love, but the only way to overcome these thoughts is to accept yourself for who you are. Additionally, in S5, L1-4, it reads, “Baby, you’re a firework; Come on, let your colors burst; Make ‘em go, ‘Oh, oh, oh’; You’re gonna leave ‘em all in awe, awe, awe.” This demonstrates that you should embrace your ‘true colors’, meaning your true self. The artist also states that you would leave others in ‘awe’ or shock with how extraordinary you are, so you shouldn’t be afraid of showing yourself, flaws and all . Therefore, accepting and embracing all your special qualities is the single method of loving yourself.

This song is beautifully choreographed. She's trying to tell the listener to be the person that they are and not someone who's fake! It conveys a great message. You shouldn't feel like waste!!And never think like that . You are unique! And just the way you are. <3 <3

I think that Firework means to just stand up for what's right and just be yourself
-
It is a dance-pop self-empowerment anthem with inspirational lyrics, and Perry felt it was an important song for her on the record.
-
The song is actually about her wanting to have her body on a firework when she dies and blasted over a ocean.
-
I think this song is very important to my life. We have many relationships even growing up, everything, we’ve been to many other faithfulness and to our heart. We’re especially adored this song.
-
I think it means that even if your life has been hell and you feel unwanted that you are better than you think.Let yourself shine...

Did anyone notice that this song is at the end of Wreck-It Ralph? Do you ever feel like a plastic bag Drifting through the wind wanting to start again? Do you ever feel, feel so paper-thin Like a house of cards one blow from caving in? Do you ever feel already buried deep? Six feet under screams, but no one seems to hear a thing Do you know that there's still a chance for you? 'Cause there's a spark in you.
You just gotta ignite the light And let it shine Just own the night Like the Fourth of July 'Cause baby, you're a firework C'mon, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby, you're a firework C'mon, let your colors burst Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah" You're gonna leave them all in awe, awe, awe.
You don't have to feel like a waste of space You're original, cannot be replaced If you only knew what the future holds After a hurricane comes a rainbow Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow And when it's time, you'll know.
Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon It's always been inside of you, you, you And now it's time to let it through.
'Cause baby, you're a firework C'mon, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby, you're a firework C'mon, let your colors burst Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah" You're gonna leave them all in awe, awe, awe.
Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon.
anyways have a great day, goodbye -
I think about firework is to more feeling aboutempowerment because, it’s reminding us through our dreams!

This glorious piece of 'art' is in fact about being so goddamn turned on, some weird shit comes out your va-ja-jay or as the kids call it these days, an orgasm.
Allow me to provide some evidence. Miss Perry (not related to the old British tennis play Fred Perry despite them both being rather fond of balls) is 'one blow from caving in' which as euphemism is about as subtle as the time I held a book to my crotch to avoid showing the new 97-year-old librarian just how attractive I found her mother.
The big oblong (or the penis as the kids call it these days) is hard at work, or as Katy describes it 'buried deep... six feet under.' However the song reaches its dramatic climax as Perry fears her sexually ambiguous fat neighbor will not hear her orgasm (the only reason she is having sex in the first place.)
If you can't work out how the chorus is about sex, you're a fucking idiot and there is not still a chance for you, even if you ignite the light and let it shine (SHHHHHHIIINNNNEEEE)
Onto the second verse then and there is only one line truly worthy of my precious time. Kate says something about a rainbow and a hurricane an obvious analogy to the ERUPTION of Hurricane Clitrina that is about to occur. She also gives young women yet to experience the joy of well you know (let's not be too blunt, there are kids reading this) that when the time CUMS (fun fact - Katy Perry wrote the Inbetweeners. And then rode them. All four of them. At the same time. It was hot) they will know exactly what to do, which in my admittedly limited experience is not true at all.
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM ... *winky face*
Kit-Kat ends the song by making them go 'aah, aah, aah.' Nice one lass. Now I'm off to take a break.
To summarise, this song is about being yourself. Sexually. The END. -
I think this is an excellent song and explains what it would be like to be a plastic bag and be around for thousands of years.

You always shine and boom like your real person and do not let anyone else change you.
