California Gurls Lyrics
[Snoop Dogg:]
Greetings loved ones
Let's take a journey

I know a place
Where the grass is really greener
Warm, wet and wild
There must be something in the water
Sippin' gin and juice
Laying underneath the...

#1 top rated interpretation:It’s kinda messed up . When I was little I loved this song . Now I read the lyrics.... well . There goes my childhood

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I think this song is about how California girls are the best and all... Being a californian and a girl myself( also having been to la like a million times) I have not really traveled much so are california girls like the best or not? I know it was the best state back then but now is it about the girls?

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:I think it's about celebrating girls from California, obviously (California Girls, we're unforgettable) (Sun kissed skin so hot we'll melt your Popsicle) (California Girls, we're undeniable, fine, fresh, fierce, we've got it unlocked) and sex (Sex on the beach) (We freak in my jeep) (Kiss her, touch her, squeeze her buns) (All that ass hanging out.)

It's a really sexist song. I used to love Katy cuz she did really empowering songs like Roar but I'm really disappointed and angry with her cuz this song is just all about why u should have s*x with California girls and why they're more attractive than other women. And all Snoop Dogg was singing about was Katy's privates. I'm more disappointed in Katy tho cuz she's usually not this low but I'd be expecting it from Snoop Dogg cuz his sings are always inappropriate and kinda sexist.

it is about sexy women on the beach in L.a they are very slutty and... gross. They were having sex with boys at the beach. EWWWWW!!!!

-
It's about fun and happiness all around.
-
That girls in California are really hot.
-
It's mainly about the girls in California.
-
Its about the sexiest women go down the beach. Have party's, live in candy land and Have fun and If u know the lyrics they also have sex down the beach

I think "California Gurls"is being sexist to women. It is describing how badly influenced young life is today. It's saying that all women are acting like slutty bad girls and just want to go topless at a beach and have sex with every guy they see. You can't just judge someone like that. But I personally feel that it is sexist and demeaning to women.
-
shame she doesn't use her talent to inspire young women to better things, typical sexist flash your bits music video..are women in music that talentless they have to make up for it or is it the male dominated music industry bit or is it vanity/money just a bit of a shame can't think of anything else to do in their music videos.make the world a better place for women don't feed this sexist rubbish.
-
Katy is saying that Cali is so much better than anyone from anywhere else is stupid. This song is also sexist to women.
-
I thinks its about girls having there freedom in life......i guess
