#1 top rated interpretation:There was once a young man that was lonely, confused and looking for acceptance. He was taking a walk when Satan approached and said to him, “I knew you were going to come to me, and now here you are.” With a sly grin he looks at the man and says, “Choose carefully now, cause I am capable of anything and everything. Make me your Aphrodite. Let me give you love, beauty, pleasure and sex. Make me your one and only love, but whatever you do, don’t make me your enemy.”
The young man listening to Satan began to smile. Then Satan leaned in closer and whispered to him, “So you wanna play with magic? Boy you should know what you’re selling your soul for. Do you really dare do this? ‘Cuz if you do, I’m coming at you like a dark horse. Are you really ready for this perfect storm? I’m asking ‘cuz once your mine there’s no going back.”
The young man took Satan by the hand and began to walk down a path as he listened. Satan continued, “Mark my words, this relationship will set you free as a bird without a cage and if you start to think about walking away, well… just don’t walk away.”
Satan let go of the young man’s hand and with a stern look he stared him straight in the eyes and said, “It’s in the palm of your hand now man. It’s a YES or a NO. There is no maybe in this game. But just be sure of your answer before you give it up to me.”
Then Satan began to taunt him, “You really want to play with magic? You should know what you are falling for. Do you really dare to do this? I’m right here waiting… coming at you like a dark horse. This whole thing is a perfect storm for you. It is a once in a lifetime event.” With the biggest grin he could muster up, Satan told him, “I’ll take you under my wing and once your mine it’s done, there’s no going back.” -

#2 top rated interpretation:Although I'm a Pentecostal Christian, I saw this song in a half-full glass way. I'm not a fan of Katy Perry; however, I found its tune and lyrics intriguing.
From my personal perspective, the song reminds me that each action has its own consequence. What you sow is what you reap. Be careful what you wish or desire for. Not all desires are good for everybody. As a matter of fact, some desires may lead to destruction so if you will pursue your desire, be cautious of your steps.
One wrong step and you're done since it is not a play that can be taken lightly.
That's why people should learn how to be contented of what they have and to value the most important things in life such as family and acquaintances. People should also learn to be responsible of their actions. At the end, regret is always there. -

#3 top rated interpretation:My first thought is that she had to make a deal with the devil in order to become famous, but she was warned once you cross this line, you will not be able to change the course. One reason is because once you lose your innocence and purity, you can't regain it. Also, because being a celebrity and hearing the crowds screaming your name is totally addicting. Of course meh is like this too. Many think its a one time fling to use Meth, but it is a dark horse that will carry you away to a place from which you can never recover.

The writer was approached in this manner and wrote in verbatim as the gift she has requires her to not refuse it. But she would never give it to Satan and she goes about playing with him like hes a fool for offering her the opportunity to reject him in such a way. He tries everything and she is not the one to fall or be lead astray by a devil so to speak. So she turns him down before she gives it all to him. He is happy that he gets it all, but in the end she is the dark horse. She has power in the end. He just thinks he has it for now. Because she gave it all to him.

These are songs about vengeance, both claimed and intended. They don't tend to have sunny outlooks or positive attitudes. These songs tend to evoke karma in the magical realism sense, usually directed at somebody else.

Perry revealed at a special album release party with iHeartRadio that the song was inspired by the 1996 movie The Craft, which is, "about warning a guy that if you're going to fall in love with me, make sure you're sure because if not, it's gonna be your last." The singer added that it reminded her of the moment she heard the Teenage Dream single "E.T.."

I think she is a female narcissist. Those who know the narcissistic cycle can relate.

I wanted to recorded at Georgia. Where my mom and dad to go to college and they put demo tape in the producers office, then I started singing.

Katy Perry is a SCORPIO WOMAN and the lyrics are spot on as to how we operate and our characteristics when it comes to love and sex- we are seductive ,MYSTERIOUS, magnetic and once men get a taste of us they will never forget - turning the bedroom into a fair - yup - "it's a yes or a no not maybe" - we like things black and white - no gray areas- we can be vindictive when you break our hearts !!

About a confident young lady with a knowing and believes she is saved and inpowered in The Lord to warn this ''specific man'' that if he would get involved with her as a Evilite with a satanic agenda in order to control her, needs to be careful 'cause she can play him like the devil that would have him trumped fighting fire with fire sort of speaking. Anotherwords she is a fair lady and can be gentle as a dove impowered in The Lord, but also wise as a serpent to be on and coming at you as a ''dark horse'' if you cross her the wrong way, wanting to play ungodly warlock games with her.

My entire site http://www.doubleuntoher.com is about this video.
I don't cover the lyrics too much cause the videos are really, sub plots, messages, in addition to the lyrics.
Im coming at you like a dark horse. The first 3 horses, the 3rd of which is the dark horse, happen in less than a year. so when the tribulation kicks off the black horse comes quickly.
This is about converting all the polytheistic religions to monotheistic satan worship. Many polytheist know they don't have much of a choice, either convert or die, so katy doesn't trust them too much.
Yes it is very deep, much deeper than most will accept as the truth. That is probably why I don't even cover the lyrics on my site. the video sub plots are much simpler and easier to understand. Before you judge my take too harshly, send this to a wicca high preist(es). And ask them if what I say is true. Once you see my site, then you will understand they are the only ones who have any possibility of understanding it. It is a message for them.
CONVERT OR DIE!
I say you have another choice Jesus!
And yes if you give up your life for Jesus, then you will live life eternally with Jesus. Remember he gave his life for us.
The first page on my site covers the grammy awards video, the second the actual music video, and the third page covers the brit awards video, and the fouth page are all videos, the first video of which covers katy's 2015 halftime show. -
It's about a girl that's not afraid to give herself to satan.
-
Its damn satanic. In d video there is an illegible part where a man is wearing a chain with "Allah" written in Arabic whilst she destroyed the man.that's the man she turned into sand. Look clearly. Damn freemasonic with all the snakes, the Osiris Egyptian god, Anubis, with another man wearing a boxer written"pharaoh". All about again seeking soul to the devil.
-
I think people are blind to society and, just goes to show how brain washed they are by lust, love and romance (lucifer)
This song does have a satanic link hence pyramid, Egypt and lyrics sang
End of -
Love the song but not really the best. She's on top and stuff and she wants a King to rule with her and stuff but when you get chosen There's no going back.
-
I think that it's about a queen who has all these young men pretty much falling over each other to try to charm her, but she is saying that if they mess up once poof their gone.
-
To put it very simply this guy has to pick carefully or else, poof, dead.
-
It isn't a bad song. She's playing the bad person but she isn't saying she's better than everybody. She's christian and she has tons of idealistic songs.
