I'd Hate To Be You When People Find Out What This Song Is About Lyrics
We'd stay there forever
Just try to get up
And i'm sorry
This wasn't easy
When i asked you, believe me
And never let go
Well i'm thinking of the worst things
That i could say to you
But a promise doesn't...

This is def about a toxic relationship in which he finally broke free. "But I´m tounge tied and terrified of what I´ll say" - when you´re in a relationship in which you can´t speak free, it´s toxic and you have to leave. That´s also why he would hate to be her when people find out what she did to him.

I think that this song is about two people in a relationship and the girl cheats on him and he tries to forgive her but he can't and he decides to break it off "this never will be right with me". He's saying he's sorry he gave up on the relationship when she was willing to stay and keep trying. But he never let on how much she hurt him and the title is saying that he'd hate to be her when she realizes that she broke his heart when she was unfaithful.

The song's about jason lancaster leaving the band...

You take a deep breath in, and push it out. With all your strength you hope an argument doesn't start. The wishes, the dreams, they have all been taken away. With hope that you desire, that maybe one day all the fighting and nonsense will go away. You don't want to leave what you have, but you also don't want to stay within the death. This song is all about a couple that has an arguing problem. One doesn't want it, the other could care less. One is wanting to leave, but can't because the love is still there.

I think this song is about two people in a relationship who are constantly fighting. The guy doesn't want to fight any more but no matter how hard he tries he keeps sinking back down to her level that's why he says they both go down together and he's thinking of the worst thing to say to her. Even though he hates the fighting he doesn't want the relationship to end hence "and never let go". Basically he's trying not to argue and salvage the relationship but they just plain don't get along.

i think it is about a girl and a guy who have had some rough times and are calling it quits at the same time, and they went down together and held each other and when he let go she didn't want to and it is making life complicated. Breaking up isn't easy and now she has to live with it, he goes through it too but he is trying to leave with being the nice guy. All and all very sad song, Especially, when it happens to you, except in different roles.

I believe its about a guy breaking up with the girl and still loving her but having to let go and feeling horrible about it but still knowing he has to and she doesnt understand and cant let go. "and then we both go down together" is about how both of them are sad about it and tey both have to "try and get up" and get over it.
-
It's about how the boy and girl broke up for whatever reason, and he told her to never let go, and eventually he came back and she never let go, but he did.
