Mayday Parade: You Be the Anchor That Keeps My Feet on the Ground, I'll Be the Wings That Keep Your Heart in the Cl Meaning
You Be the Anchor That Keeps My Feet on the Ground, I'll Be the Wings That Keep Your Heart in the Cl Lyrics
That you and only you can give to me
A voice crying loud
I've been crying for days now
And as I start to run, I stop to breathe
(Cause I was nearly scared to death)
And I was nearly scared to...

In the beginning verse, the girl wrote him a letter to break up with him because she couldn't do it to his face. He doesn't understand why she's breaking up with him because he thought they're relationship was fantastic and he wonders what he did wrong. And in the chorus, he falls into one of those sleeps you get from being really depressed and exhausted. These are the "silhouette dreams". He dreams he's by the ocean and he's wondering where everything went. They're relationship I mean. He asks God if these people were make believe because he wants to know if the perfection and love he felt was real. But god doesn't even know. in the end, it's just him saying how he wants her to say that she loves him till the death and that she will never let him go and then, like he says so many times, he says how scared he is to go on without her.
And the sand castles refer to their relationship. "falling" so easily.
