Mrs Potato Head Lyrics

If you weren't born with it
You can buy a couple ornaments
Just be sure to read the warning, kids
Cause pretty soon you'll be bored of it
Sexual, hey girl if you wanna feel sexual
You can always call up a professional
They stick pins in you...

It's telling girls that you don't need plastic surgery to make you hot or sexy.. just be yourself. You don't need ass implants or breast implants to make a boy like you. They should like you for who you are, lol..

The title of the song itself refers to plastic surgery. A girl who is beautiful however extremely insecure, uses plastic surgery to change her face. With a potato head, you can take off the facial features and change it. This represents that with plastic surgery, they "take" off their face and change it. Melanie wants to show that all women are beautiful and don't need plastic surgery to be beautiful. Specific lines show that woman think that they wont be loved if they're"unattractive" so they change to be loved.

Mrs. Potato Head by Melanie Martinez symbolizes the insecurities of women who result to plastic surgery. The line "Baby soft skin turns into leather -
Don't be dramatic it's only some plastic -
No one will love you if you're unattractive" means that plastic surgery will 'fix your face', but it also takes away your natural beauty. Also, "Do you swear you'll stay forever, even if her face don't stay together" explains itself. She's asking her lover if he'll stay with her if what's supposed to make her beautiful makes her ugly. The song basically means that being fake is bad.

Cry Baby sees Mrs.Potato Head, a woman with a plastic face and lots of surgery. After being broken hearted so many times, Cry Baby looks at Mrs.Potato Head and wonders if pain is beauty. Cry Baby realizes that it isn’t worth paying $1000 for a compliment. Maybe there is beauty in all the pain Cry Baby experienced in her life as well.

It means that a girl who feels ugly, is asking the doctor if she gets a plastic surgery everything will get better since she thinks no one will love her is she's unatracttive. What Melanie is trying to say is that so many people are fake and that's not right. The meaning when she says,'tell me you'll stay forever, even if her face don't stay together' means that a girl is looking at another girl that got a plastic surgery and looks beautiful but also the girl that feels ugly know that its a bit dangerous, but she still wants the doctor to stay even if the beautiful girls face don't stay together.
