Rammstein: Ohne Dich Meaning
Song Released: 2004
Ohne Dich Lyrics
Dahin wo ich sie zuletzt gesehen
Doch der Abend wirft ein Tuch aufs Land
Und auf die Wege hinterm Waldesrand
Und der Wald er steht so schwarz und leer
Weh mir, oh weh
Und die Vögel singen nicht mehr
Ohne...

Till stated in an interview on german TV that it`s about his relation to the band. I also think he said something similar on "MTV Masters".

I totally agree. This is a very nice song indeed, and probably my favorite ballad. It is a show of Till's awesome voice.
I like the instrumental part as well. I saw this song live when I went to their concert, and they did it together with Apocalyptica. Very very nice. -
Ohne Dich is really a beautiful song. This song tells about the intense emotional pain that he feels after losing a girl. I love the figurative language he uses in this. For example: "Und die Vogel singe nicht mehr" which means "and the birds sing no more" If you speak enough german to understand even some parts of this song, you'll love it. It't the only industrial ballad I've ever heared. It rocks.
