Billie Eilish: Bellyache Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Bellyache Lyrics
Mind
Sitting all alone, mouth full of gum
In the driveway
My friends aren't far, in the back of my car
Lay their bodies
Where's my mind
Where's my mind
They'll be here pretty soon, looking through my room
For the money
I'm...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think its a way for her to express that she has hurt the people around her, and she knows its her fault. She might feel almost like a psycho for the things she has done. She hurts her friends, and now they might as well be dead. Her lover is already gone and hurt. The repetitiveness of people being hurt around her makes her feel insane, like she's losing her mind. And the guilt gives her a bellyache.

#2 top rated interpretation:Okay I'm gonna tell you the real meaning to this song. But before I do let me say this. NO this song is not about a girl who killed all her friend LITERALLY. Thats an iditic way to look at it. All the lyrics in this song are metaphors.
The song is about how Billie became famous and inventually hurt all her friends {emotionally} which is why they are dead in the music video. The 'bellyache' she feels is the guilt because her friends probably just think she did it for money.
She also broke up with her boyfriend because she couldnt take the pressure and doesnt like just dating one person at a time ( she said this in a interview) He was proabably heartbroken so it feels like she left him in a gutter. The cops in the song she talks about are her inside demons or rather her conscience knowing she'll pay for what she did to the people she hurt.

#3 top rated interpretation:The song is quite literally about someone committing a murdering and guilt. Billie has stated multiple times that she and Finneas enjoy writing in somebody else's point of view.

Firstly, I am hoping many of these were written by children, as they are incredibly illiterate. How people with spellcheck and auto-suggest can mispel so many words is beyond me.
But to add to another interpretation on here, the one about "v for vendetta" representing her regret of loosing her virginity, I think you are right on the money.
To attach an addendum to said viewpoint, I would suggest that, as people refer to their "V card", she may have indeed been referring to the regret of loosing it. One way to look at it could be that she had sex in a bout of vengeance, ie a vendetta of petty jealousy, perhaps an example of feminine competitiveness for their desired man. Her dead friends possibly indicating that making this act of revenge destroyed her relationships with them. Maybe there's some sort of retaliation she faced, and therefore they are dead to her, but shes attempting to hide the bodies, possibly indicating that she knows she has done wrong but is desperately trying to run away from her problems and not face them. However, she knows she cannot run from her wrong-doings forever, and her crimes will be snuft out by the world in due time.
An alternative interpretation, I thought she may have lost her virginity through being raped. Possibly her "friends" set it up, making them "dead to her" and "sacrificing" a boyfriend who she actually cared for, by forceful loss of her innocence. Which could indicate the "guil" she feels as a bellyache, guilt as in loss of innocence (virginity), though maybe she thinks the truth will reveal itself in time, for the evidence is in clear sight.
I do believe in real life, she likely faced abuse at the hands of her parents, managers, etc etc. She was IMO a sacrifice from her family for stardom. Like all child stars, her upcoming was manufactured and she was wrongly sold-out for the financial gain of her greedy family. Things aren't always as straight forward and innocent as they appear on the surface. Billie is to me, obviously a very troubled soul, who has endured great pain, and likely still is. I for one, do not believe her symbolism of torment in mich of her music is simply art for the sake of art. People create art to represent their pain, regret and sorrows through parables of sorts. In this case, music, lyrics and imagery (in music videos). -
Maybe I misunderstood my lover and (my mind was not out of gutter)I left him and also left my friends
-
Billie explain a character who have lost her feelings. She abandoned her lover (maybe it's in a gutter where I left my lover). She probably has a blood feud with someone ( my V is for Vendetta). Billie belly ache is a song I like and relate to.
-
Billie has said something along the lines of “the song is about doing terrible things and not knowing why”. She killed her friends, her ex (who she left in the gutter) and possibly more. By doing this she is committing a vendetta.
-
I think its just all about a girl that hurt her friends maybe because they offended her and now she has a belly ache which is a metaphorical word for guilty..
-
I think a family was willing to pay her to kill the murderer of another family member to avenge them hence the line "my V is for vendetta" now she is regretting it hence the line "now I got bellyache"
-
Does someone know if it has anything to do with the movie "v for vendetta"? I mean, there are no coincidences, right?

This song is about and individual who is a psychopath guilty about committing murder but doesn't care that he/she is a psychopath....Idk if that makes any sense...
It portrays a larger than life picture of how vulnerable the human conscience is..
Apparently the psychopath died eventually -

I think she ate too much cake and now she has a bellyache and killed her friends just for funsies! :0

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

To me, this is about being reckless, then regretting it soon. Billie has destructed many things (in the song) and then got a bellyache she was so worried.
-
Maybe the lyrics "My V is for Vendetta" meant that she felt played by the people closest to her and acted on impulse trying to kill them. After that realised that even though she wanted to do that the guilt took over and could no longer distinguish the truth from the guilt and it started driving her insane.
With respect,

The meaning of the song is about a girl that killed her friends. This is the real interpretation of it, because Billie Eilish states that it is "flat out about murder"

I know this is a weird interpretation but what if "my v" can be interpreted for a girls virginity (ok ok stay with me) and maybe when she goes "vendetta" she may reference that she slept with some one for revenge , maybe for her previous boyfriend which maybe in the "gutter" which could be a signal for her mind. Like when people say 'get your mind out of your gutter' , it could indicate that maybe her ex is stuck on her mind and she is unable to get him out and she is so frustrated that she went with someone else? And the next line she goes "i thought that id feel better" which could indicate a sense of quilt for what she has done towards her ex, which demonstrates that this maybe a night or a couple of nights after she did the deed and now she is feeling regretful. When she repeats "where's my mind" throughout the song, it could imply that this is spinning in her mind as she is always thinking about it. Then on the line "Now ive got a bellyache" could imply guilt or maybe even pregnancy. In the beginning she says "Where's my mind" which later moves to " I lost my mind, I don't mind" which could demonstrate that maybe she has changed her mind and maybe she has done something to her baby which references to the term "lost" - abortion? Or maybe she is accepting that she has a this baby/guilt which is why she says "i dont mind". I know it's a little far fetched but if you look at it by not viewing that Billie Eilish sang it and by looking at it at a diffrent angle, you can kinda see what im coming from.
