   i think that her "boyfriend" (idk ig) is doing some shady/suspicious stuff lately. "he don't love me like he promised." cHeateR. "he's just a shadow." he's never around anymore! he's become a shadow in the background of her life.
   "he ain't a man" a real man would NEVER EVER cheat on his gf. PERIOD. "alright dude, go trip over a knife." she's basically saying "fuck that dude. he's dead to me. he can go trip over a knife for all i care. he didn't treat me right." that's the basic gist of what i got from the song.

   She suspects her boyfriend of cheating on her because hes being agressive trying to cuss but failing because hes just trying to be like his father. I suspect that he was dealing with neglect himself and seemed like he was angry but he was just trying to cope with his own pain but in the end he ended up hurting Billie. Thats what I think anyway

    Okay, so the way I see this song, is that a guy may be cheating on a girl or may have been unfair to a girl. He could've lied to her, for example he could've told her that he'll love her forever, but, the next day he'll just drop her and move to another girl. So basically where I'm going with this, in simplest terms: he's a player.
