Bad Guy Lyrics

White shirt now red, my bloody nose
Sleeping, you're on your tippy toes
Creeping around like no one knows
Think you're so criminal
Bruises, on both my knees for you
Don't say thank you or please
I do what I want when I'm wanting to
My...

    "Make-your-mama-sad type, make-your-girlfriend-mad type, might-seduce-your-dad type"
She plays by her own rules, and does what she wants to, not caring who it hurts.

    "So you're a tough guy, like-it-really-rough guy, just-can't-get-enough guy, chest-always-so-puffed guy"
She's saying: 'You think you're so tough?' and pointing out his weakness: "just-can't-get-enough guy" and what he thinks he's good at but, really, he's not: "chest-always-so-puffed guy".

"My mama likes to sing along with me, but she won't sing this song if she reads all the lyrics. She'll pity the men I know"
If people saw what she really meant, they would be wary and scared of her truths.

"You say she's scared of me? I mean, I don't see what she sees, but maybe that's 'cause I'm wearing your cologne"
She wonders why people are so pitiful and is realizing why, but not doing anything to stop.

Overall, saying you should look closer at the undertones before you do anything, because you probably don't know what's really going on.

In an interview billie says that this song is saying if you want to pretend to be so tough and all that then I can pretend to be things too saying I'm the bad type make your mama sad type make your girlfriend mad type might seduce your dad type then she says "Which I'm not that but if you can pretend to be stuff than so can I." So the song is about pretending to be what your not.

Everyone thinks Billie is a good girl and she always has to be whi they want her to but she turns bad to show them wrong.

Billie used to be a good girl but then gets sick of it and tires being bad.

I’m not that smart but I think the meaning of the video is that we have demons but we’re not afraid of them and in the video Billie seems to be those demons but a friend too. Idk I’m not really a Billie fan so Billiefans back me up and give me your answers <3

I think that this song is about people who label themselves and sometimes try to lie and categorise themselves so that they can feel better about the way that they are. People change, life happens, you may not learn truly everything about yourself in your lifetime. This song is almost mocking those who like to lie about the way that they are.

She's in a relationship with a macho guy who thinks he's bad but when in fact she's even worse than him.

Maybe she's tired of being a good little girl, and decides to choose a more devilish path. The song explains how 'Bad' she can really be.
