You Should See Me in a Crown Lyrics

Bite my tongue, bide my time
Wearing a warning sign
Wait 'til the world is mine
Visions I vandalize
Cold in my kingdom size
Fell for these ocean eyes

You should see me in a crown
I'm gonna run this nothing town
Watch me make 'em...

I see this song very motivational.
As I interpreted it, the meaning of "You should see me in a crown" is that you are often underestimated, and that someone who at first glance may seem sweet and helpless, can be strong and self-confident, more than many others.

To me, this seems to be about her wanting to show she can be powerful. She says someone thinks she's pretty, so she tells them they should see her ruling the world. She doesn't want to be reduced to just her appearance. She wants to be known for what she can do.

Billy's not a princess or a queen. She's a king. (She said it on the description on Spotify). This means that rather than being judged by what she looks like or by her gender, Billy can be who she is and wants to be and rule the world how she wants. It's like telling people who judge her and make opinions of her by her looks to watch her rule the world as a king rather than a queen or princess (like people would expect) before they make opinions of her and judge her.

It's about the Devil. Satan is waiting for the time when he will rule this world as the Anti-Christ. And Billie is telling you what will happen to those of you left behind, and the hell you will be subjected to. The pain & suffering that never ends when Satan is the lord, the crown,of this world. Which he already is. Repent!

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I would say that it's about.... well, imagine this random group of bullies mocking you and well.... I would say it's about being the best. Like having payback (sorry about my grammar if it's wrong) to the bully group. Like, when your the king/queen you're making the bully group bow down to you and fear you, like when you feared them

Billie is being disrespected by others and tries showing she's more then who they thinks she is.

Everyone thinks she's nobody but then she decides to act tougher to make them see more in her.

I think that this song is from the perspective of Professor Moriarty from the TV show Sherlock. In the show, Moriarty even says, “You should see me in a crown”. This makes sense because he always wants to be in control of Sherlock and have all the power.

She thinks people uses her for her looks but she wants to be known for what she can do not just her appearance. So she seeks revenge making them bow down to worship her. Since they took advantage of her and her looks, she will do the same

    In my interpretation...

She says "You should see me in a crown,Your silence is my favorite sound, I'm going to run this nothing town, watch me make em' bow one by one by one..."

This shows she has power, she want's to be powerful over anyone and everyone. She wants to have people that look up to her almost worship her.

She goes on to say "Count my cards watch them fall, blood on a marble wall, I like the way they all scream, tell me which one is worse, living or dying first, sleeping inside a hearse, I don't dream."

She will "kill" to be on top, she likes the power so much it gives her satisfaction to see others downfall relating to "I like the way they all scream".

She goes on to say which is worse living or dying first, this shows what's the point of living if you are not on top, basically saying if you aren't at your highest power you are dead. Her not dreaming tells us that she has a direct sense of getting what she's doing done, it's not like a dream of hers to do it. She's literally going to do what she wants right here and now.

She says "come over baby, I think you're pretty, I'm ok, I'm not your baby, If you think I'm pretty you should see me in a crown..."

Because she is compared to a Queen she will not let someone call her something or tell her what to do, but instead she wants them to know that she is powerful by "seeing her in a crown and what she can do"

This song is representing, showing off how much better you are now than before. Probably from a toxic relationship--
"You should see me in a crown, i'm gonna run this nothing town.. watch me make em' boy one by one boy one--" is about how shes been better from her old relationship and shows off how hes not changed
