Disturbed: Innocence Meaning
Innocence Lyrics
No one is innocent?
Who is innocent?
Who is innocent?
No one is innocent?
Who is innocent?
Who is innocent?
Is it relevant in the world today?
I shake my head in disbelief
The killer walks again
Freed by evil men
And their dark...
-
But what about the part "cold and spineless, have you known so wicked minded, they will find more ways to betray us" Perhaps that's about our inner demons or the feeling we get when we commit the wrongs?
-
This song clearly has a deep meaning that can really only be explained in the song if you listen to the lyrics. "The killer walks again, freed by evil men," "a fathers cruelty, a murdered family," "a mother's selfish pride, her child's homicide." Read the lyrics and you will see that this song is about how the world is slowly falling to ruins because people are doing terrible things to others.
-
It's about "the corrupt tourneys and lawyers, and the sinister bastards they defend".
-David Draiman -
This song is telling how the worlds "innocence" is being destroyed, depleted, etc. and not only that but the government cant $hi+ about it(Presumed innocent Justice fails again In the masquerade)
then it gives examples of how this is happening like- The killer walks again Freed by evil men And their dark charade (this needs no interpretation)
A mother’s selfish pride
Her child's homicide
Can she be to blame?(this one is saying that a CHILD killed someone/people all because of his/her mothers pride
A father’s cruelty A murdered family Is the world insane?( this saying the obvious a father killed his family)
A battered woman trembling
Her lover drunk again
When will the torture end
In her web of shame?( this one is obvious too, a womans husband is drunk again and beat her)
A child victimized The crime politicized For the counselor's gain The rabid media congregates His tortured memories A pervert's fantasies (this one is about a counselor molesting a child, and how the media spreads the news and the child forever remembering it happening.
The rest is pretty obvious, saying that your the cause for it etc.)
p.s. if you want to know how to restore the world's innocence the key is the new generation, all we have to do is stop letting them see this filth. I'm talking about the media and rap and screamo music -
Innocence my favorite song by disturbed is about the world failing in prisons and punishment about how people get out free after ten years for killing someone and how it doesnt matter one day you will face the higher god and you will suffer as in face the ultimate punishment and he thinks its time to give them that punishment now so others dont have to suffer making all of us guilty which we are not.
