Numb Lyrics

Bleeding out now i' m
crying out i' m
felling down and i' m
feeling nothing like
laughing now i' m
stopping now i' m
reaching out i' m
feeling nothing

I do believe it about having your heart broken

But not in a relationship sense... I think its about a miscarriaged pregnancy.. The bleeding, crying, then feeling nothing...
And "I can feel you ripping and tearing and feeding and growing inside of me"

When my partner lost our bub all she kept saying at the hospital was "give it back to me"

I think it's about MGM/RIC (male genital mutilation/routine infant circumcision)

It talks a lot about pain, bleeding, and left feeling numb, and how "You were wrong to take it from me" and how "There have been several complications".

It seems to be talking from the point of view of the infant at the time of it happening all the pain and torture and reaching out and being ignored, and then as an adult living with the complications.

Yeah. It's about how after a long while with someone (in a relationship), where you were left in the dust, and you are trying to cope with it all, but you just can't let go.

This song is "Speaking about the void left after your heart has been broken." A quote from David.
